Yale: Yale University is seeking applicants for our open Strength and Conditioning Assistant position.  We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated, detail oriented, communicate effectively (verbally and written) and have the ability to problem solve.  This position will assist in all aspects sports performance, assisting in the preparation of off-season/in-season workout planning material. This position will be responsible for daily weight room supervision, upkeep and maintenance of equipment, assist with performance and strength testing, and other duties as assigned by the director of sports performance. Applicants must be NSCA-CSCS certified. Previous experience in an intercollegiate strength and conditioning program preferred. Rice: The Rice University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the Fall 2018. The internship is scheduled to begin Thursday, July 26th, 2018 and will run through Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 with the opportunity to earn a position on staff as one of the five designated strength & conditioning coaches for the 2018 football season. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of in-season training for the Rice Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum. Interns will also have the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various Olympic Sports training programs. Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Albany State: Albany State has an immediate opening for a full time head strength coach. Coach would be responsible for overseeing all 13 sports university offers. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from accredited 4-year university, preferably in sports or health sciences discipline, e.g. Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Movement Science or other related field required. However a Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of two (2) years related experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional athletics. Possess a certification from either the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as well as have the ability to meet continuing education requirements established by the NSCA and CSCCA. A CPR/First Aid instructor is preferred. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to initiate, analyze, monitor and evaluate and advance strategic plans that support student-athletes and the mission of ASU and the Department of Athletics.
