Fresno State: Fresno State University Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications for the position of Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach to contribute to the Program for Fall 2018. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions and all 19 Olympic Sports in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers valuable knowledge and hands on experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program and teams as assigned. During the internship, potential candidates will receive experience working at the Division 1 level, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities and receive college credit if applicable. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Potential candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession as well as pursue a career in the collegiate setting. Required qualifications include current CPR/ AED certification, as well as achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related course of study, and CSCS or SCCC certification. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, coaching internship experience or collegiate athletics experience is preferred. This internship is expected to begin Monday, August 13th, 2018, and end no later than Friday, December 21st, 2018. Jamestown: The University of Jamestown (located in Jamestown, North Dakota) invites applications for the position of Director of Strength, Conditioning and Campus Wellness. This is a full time, 12 month position with benefits reporting to the Dean of Engagement and Student Affairs. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs working with approximately 500 student-athletes competing in 17 intercollegiate programs, managing the Foss Wellness Center and the Larson Center, and facilitating a campus wellness plan for students, staff, and faculty. The qualified candidate should develop the physical strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, and agility of UJ student-athletes in a positive and motivating environment. Additionally, he/shee will design and facilitate customized programs focused on specific needs of each sport in conjunction with respective head coaches. Additionally, the candidate will create a welcoming environment for non-athletes, staff and faculty including Collaboration with the Kinesiology Department to develop campus Health and Wellness yearly plan and develop a slate of classes and programs that engage the campus community both inside and away from campus. The Larson Center, the home of Jimmie Athletics, has 20,000 square feet of strength and conditioning space. This summer, the 13,000 square feet weight room inside of the Larson Center is undergoing a complete renovation including all new equipment. The Foss Wellness Center, built in 2008, contains 6,000 square feet of space dedicated to campus wellness. Texas: University of Texas Football Strength and Conditioning Program is accepting applications for intern(s) for the Fall Semester of 2018. Responsibilities include assisting the Football Strength Staff in all aspects of developing and implementing strength, speed/agility, conditioning, flexibility, mobility, and recovery protocols for the Football Program. Daily weight room supervision, upkeep and maintenance of equipment, assist with performance and strength testing, and other duties as assigned.
