New York Red Bulls: The Red Bulls are looking to hire an intern strength and conditioning coach. This internship requires a dynamic, self-motivated, organized, energetic and ambitious student or professional. He/She should aspire to be a strength and conditioning coach or sport scientist in the professional or collegiate sport setting. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Required to perform the job) – Observe and assist with strength and conditioning training sessions. Observe and assist with practice training sessions. Observe and assist with training load monitoring programs * Observe and assist with injury prevention programs. Observe and assist with nutrition education and supplement implementation MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be currently enrolled in an exercise science related course of study and able to receive course credit hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS In possession of a nationally accredited certification with the NSCA or CSCCa; CPR and AED certified; in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science; flexible schedule for nights and weekends; previous experience coaching in a team setting. Boise State: Boise State University Department of Sports Performance is now accepting applications for the position of Intern Sports Performance Coach for summer 2018. This position will work exclusively with all Olympic sports. There will be no involvement with football. Projected reporting dates are June 4-August 3, 2018. This is an unpaid position, however potential candidates will receive a unique opportunity to be a part of our multidisciplinary Sports Performance, Health & Wellness program. The selected candidate will gain valuable experience collaborating with strength & conditioning, sports medicine, performance nutrition and sports psychology. At BSU we are striving to create a high performance model that puts the health and well-being of the student-athlete at the fore front. Responsibilities during this internship will include but are not limited to: assisting staff with the development and implementation of training programs for all Olympic sports; demonstrating and teaching proper strength training, running and change of direction mechanics; maintaining the upkeep of facilities; and participation in various academic projects. Potential candidates should have at least 1-2 years of collegiate sports performance experience. Candidates must be working towards or have attained SCCC or CSCS certification. CSCCa mentorship is available to assist in the eligibility of the certification. Washington: The University of Washington Football Strength and Conditioning Program is currently seeking internship applicants for the summer quarter of 2018.  Interns will have the opportunity to continue their experience through fall camp and the season dependent upon individual performance during winter/spring workouts.  Must adhere to the rules of the NCAA, The University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics Department, and the Pac-12 Conference.  Required qualifications: Currently pursuing/possessing bachelors or masters in exercise science or a related field, First Aid CPR/AED certified, Currently pursuing/possessing NSCA, CSCCa, or USAW certification(s), and a strong desire to become a Collegiate/Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach.  Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position.  Individuals will gain experience in a Division I collegiate speed, strength & conditioning setting, as well as future recommendation for employment.
