NY Jets: The New York Jets Strength & Conditioning Staff is currently accepting applications for a 2019 Off-Season Program volunteer internship position. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the New York Jets Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Off-Season program. The successful candidate will get hands on experience working with professional athletes. Duties include set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility. Required qualifications include, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, a strong work ethic, and current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study. Candidates must be able to receive college course credit for participation in this internship to be considered. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body, previous coaching experience, or experience competing in collegiate athletics. There is no monetary compensation, and housing will not be provided. Please make sure that this position is economically feasible for you and that you meet all requirements before applying. Georgia Tech: Gus Felder, who served as the director of strength and conditioning at Miami the past few seasons, has joined the GT staff as a player development coach.

UNLV: The UNLV Football Strength and Conditioning program is seeking elite candidates for the WINTER/SPRING 2019 VOLUNTEER internship program. Qualified candidates will work directly with Football, and will have the opportunity to assist in all training sessions with the implementation of individualized, comprehensive, sport-specific injury prevention and performance enhancement programs. This is an UNPAID opportunity that provides experience working in a Division I FBS environment within the Mountain West Conference. Salisbury: The Salisbury University Sports Performance & Recreation Management Programs are currently accepting applications for 3 Graduate Assistant positions beginning in the Fall of 2019. The graduate assistant positions will begin August 5th and continue through May 22nd 2020 with the option for yearly renewal until graduation. This position includes tuition remission along with a $4000 stipend per semester (Books and Fees not included). JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidates will have the opportunity to coach, develop, and train elite collegiate athletes through creating and implementing both weight training and running/conditioning programs. Candidates will also gain valuable experience managing interns and volunteers along with implementing the Sports Performance strategic plan. Duties will also include Recreational Facility Management and strategic plan implementation located at the Maggs P.A.C. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a strong work ethic with a desire to become the best possible performance coach and manager they can become. Passion and enthusiasm for training college athletes and manage staff members should be evident. Possess a strong knowledge base on training methods with previous experience in Olympic lifts and facility management. Have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field. Virginia: The University of Virginia is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Interns for the 2019 Summer. You will complete a 9-week education program, developed by the UVA Strength and Conditioning Staff. Interns will work primarily with football. This is an unpaid internship. Responsibilities will include: Daily weight room maintenance, set-up, tear-down, assist with supervision of weight room and field work. Interns must be motivated, able to follow specific directions, and have a strong work ethic. Interns will receive hands on experience to multiple training methods, Tendo Units, and Catapult. Interns should be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree, and certifications through the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, or USAW. Interns will gain collegiate experience at the Division I level, and potential for future recommendations for future career opportunities. Troy: Troy Football Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 2 interns starting January 21 and ending on May 1 to work with football. All internships are unpaid. Qualifications that we are seeking are highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as a Strength and Conditioning coach in a collegiate or alternate setting. Candidates should be personable, self-motivated, possess a team oriented mindset and professional demeanor. Canidates will be able to work under an approved CSCCA mentor. Louisville: The University of Louisville Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for immediate internship openings. These are UNPAID/VOLUNTEER internships with housing available. These positions will run through early May.  Interns will gain practical experience working within a Division 1 FBS, ACC football program. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: aiding in the implementation of training programs, assisting with quantitative data collection, assisting with set up and break down of equipment, daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, able to follow directions, possess excellent communication skills, have a desire to learn, and have an extremely strong work ethic. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/AED/First Aid, adapt to demanding schedule, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and a strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach; CSCS or SCCC preferred but not required.  Upon completion of the internship program, individuals will have a better understanding of program design, the potential to earn recommendations for future opportunities, and receive college credit, if applicable. Kennesaw State (FCS – GA): Kennesaw State is looking to hire a full time assistant S&C coach. This position will be the top assistant to the football program while leading the training of one Olympic Sports team. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (masters preferred), currently certified by either CSCCa or NSCA, two years coaching experience. Troy: Southern Miss head strength coach Sajason Finley has been selected to run the Troy strength and conditioning department, per source. We understand that the entire staff will be new.

Nicholls State (FCS – LA): Nicholls State is looking to hire two professional interns. These are 12-month paid positions that would start ASAP. Responsibilities for the Professional Intern positions will include designing and implementing a strength and conditioning program for all assigned teams and assist with implementation of training programs for all athletic teams. Programs will include, but are not limited to, strength/power, conditioning, and speed and agility training exercises. This position will require constant communication with the Director of Sports Performance, head coaches for assigned teams, and the athletic training staff. Other responsibilities include daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility, updating social media sites, and completion of any other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Performance. These are 12 month paid positions. Pay will be to the amount of $12,000 or $10,000 with housing provided. REQUIREMENTS – BS in Exercise Science or Related Field, NSCA-CSCS or CSCCA-SCCC Certification, CPR/AED Certified.
