Texas: The University of Texas Football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting Internship applications, for the 2019 Summer Training Program. Responsibilities include assisting the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in all aspects of developing and implementing strength, speed/agility, conditioning, flexibility, mobility, and recovery protocols for the Football Team. Additional responsibilities will be to provide; daily weight room supervision, daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment, assist with and conduct performance and strength testing, completion of internship curriculum, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should be enrolled in or completing their Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or a related field. Applicants should be certified in CPR/AED, and working towards certifications from any of the following organizations: NSCA, CSCCa, or USAW. Previous experience in an intercollegiate strength and conditioning program preferred. Position: This is a non-paid internship position. The successful applicant(s) will receive course credit towards graduation (if applicable) and Division I FBS / Big 12 Conference strength and conditioning experience. Arizona: University of Arizona Football Strength and Conditioning program is currently accepting (3) volunteer internship applications for the SUMMER 2019 OFF-SEASON SESSION. This is a non-paid internship. So if it is not a financially feasible option do not inquire.  Looking for highly motivated individuals who are willing to learn and gain knowledge about strength & conditioning, programming, and coaching experience. Responsibilities include facility maintenance and up keep, coaching/training observation, and professional development (continuing education, readings, assignments, working towards certifications). Other responsibilities include assisting the football strength staff with weight room set up/break down, recording data daily/weekly, and working with CATAPULT/ATHOS/POLAR and other sport science technologies. Should be certified in CPR/AED and working towards certifications from any of the following organizations: CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW.  Interested applicants should include a cover letter, resume, and 3 references. Serious inquiries only please! This field is very demanding and it’s not for everybody. Also, the position is requires long days and many hours on the floor and outside in hot temperatures. Tentative start date is 5/29/2019 and will go through 6/26/2019.
