UC Davis: UC Davis Department of Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications for a Volunteer Intern Strength & Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports.  This is an unpaid position that will last  from September 22nd – June 8th.   This internship presents the opportunity to earn future recommendations, and can be used for course credits.  An educational curriculum will be provided as well as practical experience working with all Olympic sports at UC Davis. William & Mary (FCS – VA): The College of William and Mary Strength and Conditioning is looking to fill 2 VOLUNTEER Strength and Conditioning Coach positions, no monetary compensation will be provided. Candidates can gain experience working in a Division I strength and conditioning department.  Candidates can also gain a reference for future positions (dependent on performance). This position will be associated with Olympic sports and will not be involved with football. Position responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: setting up and breaking down of equipment for training sessions, running training sessions and programming for teams and assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities and equipment. Applicants must be certified with either the CSCCa (SCCC) or the NSCA (CSCS) and have current CPR/AED certification. The candidate must possess strong communication skills, motivational skills, and must have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional at the collegiate or professional level. Fairleigh Dickinson: Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Strength & Conditioning Department is excited to announce the hiring of two Graduate Assistants to begin in the Fall 2017 semester. Fairleigh Dickinson University, located in Teaneck, NJ is a division I program in the Northeast Conference. Candidates should possess knowledge and passion related to strength and conditioning. An undergraduate degree in exercise science or closely related field is preferred. Previous experience working as a strength and conditioning coach is also desirable. CSCS or SCCC strongly preferred. Graduate Assistantships require a 20 hour per week commitment which may be flexible to accommodate the student’s class schedule and the needs of the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. One G.A. position will be allocated 20 hours per week to strength & conditioning with the FDU student-athletes. The second G.A. position will be allocated 10 hours per week to strength & conditioning and 10 hours per week to the FDU Fitness Center to assist with fitness programming and supervision. Individuals selected for these positions will receive a full tuition waiver toward their graduate studies in the Masters in Sports Administration program.
