Davidson: Davidson College Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for one paid part-time assistant strength and conditioning coach. Applicants will gain hands on experience with Division III MAC student-athletes. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to assist with all 18 of Arcadia’s intercollegiate teams. The applicants whom are accepted into the program will assist the Strength and Conditioning staff with all tasks including supervising workouts, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties, teach student athletes proper equipment use as well as professional development through the internship program. There is no monetary compensation for the position, however, this is a unique internship where qualified applicants will have an opportunity to coach and have an impact on student athletes. Applicants will also be trained and properly prepared for working towards becoming a certified Strength and Conditioning coach. Recommendations for future job opportunities and college credit can also be earned. The goal is to teach each student athlete how a healthy diet, in combination with a strength and conditioning program, will exponentially improve their performance and help them to reach their max potential. There is no monetary compensation for the position, however, this is a unique internship where qualified applicants will have an opportunity to have an impact on student athletes. Requirements Qualified candidates should be interested in pursuing a career in Sports Nutrition and currently enrolled in an accredited nutrition program. Tennessee: The University of Tennessee Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for (3) Unpaid Strength and Conditioning Internship positions for Summer 2015 to work with Football and Olympic Sports. Campbell University (NC): Campbell University’s Strength and Conditioning Department is currently seeking qualified intern candidates for the Summer of 2015. Internship will begin May 19th and end July 31st. This is an unpaid position. No monetary compensation with be provided. However, accepted applicants may be able to receive college credit and a recommendation for future employment upon completion of the internship. Intern responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to observation of strength coaches, setting up and breaking down of equipment for training sessions, maintenance responsibilities, data entry, clerical duties, active participation in projects and assignments throughout internship, and assisting strength coaches as needed during training sessions. Applicants must be certified or working toward certification with the CSCCa (SCCC) or the NSCA (CSCS) and have current CPR/AED certification. Candidates must possess strong communication and motivational skills as well as the ability and commitment to work within the mission and purpose of Campbell University.
