    Washington Redskins: Former Bears strength coach Mike Clark has joined the Redskins organization.

    Clemson: Clemson University Department of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Summer 2015 internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with all the Olympic sports that train out of the Jervey weight room. It may fulfill course credit if necessary. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, attending to daily maintenance of the training facilities, and professional development throughout internship program. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach.     Houston Texans: The Texans have hired Penn State assistant strength coach Brian Bell as an assistant strength coach.

    Chicago Bears: Central Michigan director of strength and conditioning Rick Perry is leaving to join the Chicago Bears.

    Georgetown Preparatory School (MD): The Georgetown Prep department of strength and conditioning is now accepting applications for strength and conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with all day-to-day operations within the department, assist training 14 sports, and daily facility maintenance. All applicants are required to bring a strong work ethic and enthusiasm to the work place. Compensation: Even though this is an UNPAID INTERNSHIP, the applicant will gain valuable HIGH SCHOOL strength coaching experience, future recommendations, and college credit. Candidates must desire to become a high school or collegiate strength and conditioning coach.     Tulsa: The University of Tulsa Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Summer 2015 Athletic Performance Internship Curriculum. This volunteer internship will expose participants to all facets of Athletic Performance. Interns will complete both an academic and practical curriculum. Academic experiences include: weekly reading assignments, program design projects, daily meetings/discussions with full time staff members, and weekly evaluations. Practical experiences include: hands on experience in running a Division I Athletic Performance Department, staff meetings, daily maintenance, technology implementation and record keeping. Interns will receive experience working with various teams in a Division I training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Intern qualifications include: enrollment in a bachelor’s/master’s program in exercise science or related field, punctuality, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic.     University of Mary (D-II – ND): The University of Mary Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking an applicant for graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach. The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of strength training programs for all sports and will be assigned his/her own sports, as capable. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the head strength and conditioning coach with the design and implementation of sport-specific strength, speed, and agility programs; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; communication with coaches and other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach.This is a two year position that requires a bachelor’s degree, admission to the graduate program and certification through the CSCCA, NSCA, or USA Weightlifting .     Eastern Michigan: Eastern Michigan University Sports Performance is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Summer 2015 semester. The internship will begin Sunday May 3rd and will end on Saturday August 3rd 2015. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, USAW certifications; CPR certification. One year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience. Compensation: This is a non-paid position. Those accepted into the program will receive Coach McKeefery’s nationally recognized internship curriculum, practical strength and conditioning experience, and career mentorship. Hours completed can be applied toward undergraduate/graduate internship requirements and/or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association certification practicum requirement.
