    Appalachian State: Appalachian State University is accepting applications for Summer 2015 Strength and Conditioning Internships working specifically with FOOTBALL. These are UNPAID internships. These positions will run from late-May through the end of July. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division 1 Sun Belt Conference S&C environment. There will be opportunities to work with Olympic Sports. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: aiding in the implementation of training programs, assisting with set up and break down of equipment; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room; assist with supervision and demonstration during training. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, able to follow directions, possess excellent communication skills, have a desire to learn, and have an extremely strong work ethic. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/AED/First Aid, adapt to demanding schedule, and a strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach. At the end of the semester long internship volunteers will have a better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future opportunities, and if applicable receive college credit.     Illinois: The University of Illinois Football Strength and Conditioning is taking applications for 2015 Summer and Fall UNPAID interns. Candidates must possess strong work ethic, character and a desire to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning field. These internships are non-coaching positions. Successful candidates will assist in the day to day operations of the facility, including: assistance with administrative duties, cleaning and maintenance duties, set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout, as well as participation in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship. This is a great opportunity to gain experience at the Division 1 level and expand knowledge in the field.     Villanova: Villanova University is currently accepting applications for volunteer football strength and conditioning interns for Summer 2015. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor’s degree program; Must have CPR/AED/First Aid certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (1) CSCS and/or SCCC certification; (2) Experience competing in intercollegiate athletics or (3) experience working in a collegiate strength and conditioning facility. This is an unpaid position. However, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division I program, receive Nike athletic apparel, some meals will be provided, gain a better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn a paid internship position, earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if, applicable.
