Louisiana-Lafayette: The University of Louisiana-Lafayette Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications (2) for Volunteer Intern Strength and Conditioning Coaches. The positions are UNPAID and will last for the duration of the 2017 Summer Semester. An educational curriculum will be provided as well as practical experience working with all sports at UL, primarily men’s and women’s basketball. Candidates must possess CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, communication skills, attention to detail, open mindedness, willingness to learn, positive attitude, sense of urgency, and work ethic; additional certifications from one or more of the following (CSCCA, SCCC; NSCA, CSCS; USAW) are preferred. This is a UNPAID position; however, candidates will gain experience training and coaching Division-1 athletes, exposure to sports nutrition, program design, professionalism, and have the potential to earn recommendation towards future employment in the field. Successful completion of the summer internship may lead to an extension in the program into future semesters.
