Rutgers: Rutgers University Football program is currently accepting volunteer internship applications for the Fall 2018 season. This is a non-paid internship. Looking for highly motivated individuals who are willing to learn and gain knowledge about strength & conditioning, programming, and coaching experience. Responsibilities include facility maintenance and up keep, coaching/training observation, and professional development (continuing education, readings, assignments, working towards certifications). Other responsibilities include assisting the football strength staff with weight room set up/break down, and recording data daily/weekly. Should be certified in CPR/AED and working towards certifications from any of the following organizations: CSCCa, NCSA, or USAW.  Interested applicants should include a cover letter, resume, and 3 references. South Florida: The University of South Florida Strength and Conditioning Program is seeking candidates for the fall 2018 internship program. Qualified candidates will work directly with Football as well as various Olympic sport teams as assigned. This is an UNPAID POSITION. Intern responsibilities will include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs, daily facility upkeep as well as participating in various educational assignments throughout the internship. Preferred qualifications: CPR & First Aid certified, Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in a Kinesiology/Exercise Science related field as well as a CSCS/SCCC certification. Illinois: Illinois Department of Strength & Conditioning is now accepting applications for a part- time (non – benefitted) 1 year Strength & Conditioning Coach position. The selected candidate will start approximately August 1st, 2018, start date may vary. The position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. Financial compensation for the position will based on experience. You will also be required to pass background check. The candidate will have the opportunity to obtain Practicum Hourly Requirements needed to be Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) from the CSCCa by an approved Master Strength Coach. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required in Exercise Science related field, Prior Internship experience in the collegiate setting, Experience writing year round strength and conditioning programs, CSCS or SCCC, CPR/AED/First Aid, Applicants should be an energetic, hard-working, self-starter who thrives in pushing athletes to excel in all facets of training, Prior experience with velocity based training. Please send Resume, References, and Cover letter to Chelsea Barr at [email protected]
