Warner (FL): Warner University Strength & Conditioning is currently seeking (2) qualified assistant strength & Conditioning coach candidates for the 2017-2018 school year. The fall strength and conditioning program will run from August 1, 2017 to May 1, 2018. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for football, basketball & various other Olympic sports, on floor coaching of student athletes, teaching student athletes safe and proper Olympic lifts, speed development, plyometrics, speed-strength lifts, and core development exercises, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and professional development throughout the semester. Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach positions will be assigned to lead various sports teams. Compensation is 10,000 for a 10 month contract. Minimum Qualifications: Strong Christian values, Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, PASSION for STRENGTH & CONDITIONING!!! Effective communication skills, strong computer skills, and have attained a Bachelor’s degree not limited to but preferably in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field, First Aid, CPR & AED certified, Certified in at least one of the following: SCCC, CSCS and/or USAW. Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing or have attained a master’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field, Previous coaching experience in a collegiate, professional or high school setting and competitive collegiate involvement, and MUST be certified: SCCC, CSCS, USAW, FMS, etc., Knowledge of sports nutrition. Cal: The University of California Strength and Conditioning Program is accepting applications for unpaid volunteer interns for the fall 2017 semester. The professional intern must be willing to take initiative and hold up to the responsibilities and expectations given to them by the strength and conditioning staff. Selected candidates will be expected to adhere to the philosophy and objectives of the Department of intercollegiate athletics and to all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac-12 conference and the NCAA. Interns are responsible for providing detailed administrative assistance to the strength and conditioning staff. Expectations of the intern include observing and monitoring the training of student-athletes in conjunction with the strength and conditioning coaches and athletic training staff, learning and critiquing our model of periodization, assisting in cueing and coaching athletes as well as providing leadership among our athletes during training sessions. Daily requirements will include setup and breakdown of training sessions, clean and stock equipment and supplements, weekly intern education, and participation (observation) of every team’s training session. Preferred qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Exercise Science or related course of study and working towards completion of either the CSCS or SCCC certification. This internship requires a 5 month commitment and will start on August 21, 2017 and end on December 8, 2017 with the opportunity to continue into the spring 2018 semester. Dartmouth: Dartmouth College is seeking VOLUNTEER interns for Fall 2017. These individuals will gain valuable experience at the college level as well as credit approved by their institution. The internship will involve assisting in: the supervision of training sessions, different training methods, nutrition, learning/executing exercise technique, daily maintenance of equipment, and educational research. Dates: September 5 – December 15 Responsibilities: Assist in the facilitation and implementation of all facets of the Athletic Performance training program for Men’s Basketball, Assist in daily maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of training facility, Active participation in staff in-service meetings and completion of various assignments throughout the internship period.
