Responsibilities: Set up and break down of equipment for each session; Facility cleaning/maintenance; Assist within session to help spot athletes, record data, etc.; Participation in weekly article review sessions, staff presentations and exercise proficiency test-outs; completion of hourly logs and journal entries and reports on all educational presentations. Participation in intern workouts whether in a group or individually is expected. Applicants should be aware of the possibility of long days (12 hours or more is not uncommon at times) and early morning sessions (that can begin at 5:30 or 6:00am) and should be able to lift and carry 50-80 pounds frequently and up to 100+ pounds occasionally. Buffalo: State University of New York at Buffalo Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship for the Summer 2015. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. This is an unpaid position, living and transportation arrangements will not be provided. If chosen for this internship opportunity you will gain valuable experience, be educated on training philosophy, Olympic lifting modalities, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. Minimum qualifications: Strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional.
