Los Angeles Rams: Per source, Dustin Woods has been hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Woods has previously worked with the Cincinnati Bengals, Ignition APG, Xavier and the Chinese Olympic team.
Michigan: The University of Michigan Football Strength and Conditioning Program is currently seeking applicants for (2) PAID internship positions for SUMMER 2018. The internship begins the week of May 21 and will go through July 31, with the possibility of staying on for the 2018 season. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in regards to working within a Division I strength and conditioning setting as well as earned recommendation for future career opportunities. Position responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: setting up and breaking down of training sessions, assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities, organizing the nutrition/fueling station, data collection, assisting with GPS Catapult systems, as well as other assigned duties. MINIMUM qualifications: possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and an unwavering desire to become a strength and conditioning professional; must hold current CPR, AED, and FIRST AID certifications. PREFERRED qualifications: Must have completed or are currently working toward completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science /or a related course of study; possess or be working towards certification through the CSCCa, NSCA, and/or USAW; one year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience. Wisconsin-Whitewater (D-III): Have openings for a Strength & Conditioning Internship during the Fall 2018 semester (Sept. 4 – Dec. 14). This is an unpaid internship but great opportunity to gain experience working with high level athletes. Duties: Assist S & C coordinators with all aspects of training for all varsity sports. Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need. Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential. Assist with outside activities as assigned by S & C Coach. Job Requirements: Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Excellent work ethic and leadership skills. Ability to adapt to schedule changes. CPR/First Aid certified. Desired Skills: Knowledge and experience in all areas of strength training including Olympic style lifting as well as speed, agility, plyometric, flexibility and conditioning methods. Working towards or completion of an undergrad/grad degree in Exercise Science or related field. Currently certified or working towards certification from nationally known organization.
