    Villanova: Villanova University is currently accepting applications for volunteer football strength and conditioning interns for Summer 2015. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor’s degree program; Must have CPR/AED/First Aid certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (1) CSCS and/or SCCC certification; (2) Experience competing in intercollegiate athletics or (3) experience working in a collegiate strength and conditioning facility. This is an unpaid position. However, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division I program, receive Nike athletic apparel, some meals will be provided, gain a better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn a paid internship position, earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if, applicable. Please send ONE (1) attachment containing your cover letter, resume and three professional references. Please submit TWO (2) YouTube videos of you performing/coaching a squat and an Olympic lift variation of your choice to the Villanova University Strength and Conditioning Staff at novastrength@villanova.edu.     Tulsa: The Tulsa department of athletic performance is accepting applications for a graduate assistant position. Grad assistant responsibilities include; Design and implement training protocols for designated teams, ability to work, write, speak, and communicate effectively with staff, administrators and sport coaches, delegation of daily administrative and maintenance items to interns. Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field preferred. Experience in a NCAA four-year college or university weight room working with a variety of teams.  Preferred qualifications include SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certification and background as a college athlete.     Tennessee State: Tennessee State University is currently accepting applications for one Graduate Assistant Position. The position will begin at the start of the 2015 Fall semester. Duties will include but are not limited to; programming and implementation for two to four (2-4) assigned teams by the Director of Strength & Conditioning, assisting with the training of football, and weight room organization and upkeep. Candidate must have experience programming and coaching a team, experience working alongside sport coaches, a Bachelor’s degree preferably in an exercise science or related field, hold (or attain by August 2015) either the CSCS or SCCC certification, be CPR/AED certified, preferably have a USAW certification, and 2 years of experience preferred in the collegiate strength & conditioning field, and gain acceptance to TSU’s Graduate program. Skills with Microsoft Word and Excel are necessary as well. This is a 9 month position with a stipend of $800 a month and full tuition waiver with a 2 year commitment.     Ole Miss: The University of Mississippi is accepting applications for a summer semester internship position that would work with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the Ole Miss Strength and Conditioning Staff with the implementation of the off-season program and all other departmental functions. This internship program contains an academic portion, which entails multiple readings and assignments, as well as a hands on practical portion. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Other preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body, previous coaching in a collegiate setting, personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Official start date would be May 25, 2015 and last till July 31, 2015.
