North Carolina A&T: North Carolina A&T State University is currently accepting applications for volunteer strength and conditioning interns for Spring 2017. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of training sessions, daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment, assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions, and participation in a structured internship program, which includes required weekly meetings and projects. Applicant qualifications: highly self-motivated, able to follow directions, strong desire to learn, and a great work ethic. Required qualifications include: currently pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate/Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach. This is an unpaid position however, potential mentorship opportunity to obtain the CSCCa, SCCC certification will be available for some candidates. Inters will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. South Carolina State: South Carolina State University Strength and Conditioning Department is searching for passionate, hardworking, and motivated volunteer interns, committed to becoming knowledgeable, enthusiastic strength and conditioning coaches. This position is for the duration of the 2017 spring semester. This is an unpaid position. This position will be compensated in the form of Division I experience. Successful applicants will need to have or be in pursuit of a degree in the exercise sciences and working towards CSCS or CSCCA certifications.
