University of South Florida: Strength and Conditioning Intern.  USF is a proud member of the Big East conference and has immediate openings for Winter 2008 intern positions.  The intern positions begin January 11 and extend through May 14.  This is an unpaid position. The candidate will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, gear, internship manual, and earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach.  The successful candidates will be required to schedule and maintain a minimum of 15-30 hours per week with the Strength and Conditioning Department. The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs; for assigned teams. 2. Teaching student athletes proper lifting techniques and equipment use. 3. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. 4. Illinois Wesleyan: 2 Graduate Assistant Positions open (1 Offense and 1 Defense). Experience playing or coaching Defensive Line / Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers / Running Backs preferred but not required. Bachelor degree and admission to the School of Kinesiology and Recreation graduate program at Illinois State University is required. The position will remain open until filled. Memphis:  We are hearing Mike Stark will remain at Memphis but not as the head Strength coach for football.  Our sources tell us that LSU grad assistant Ben Cohen is likely to join the Memphis staff.

The University of North Texas: Strength and Conditioning Department is looking to fill Internship positions for the Spring Semester 2010, beginning January 19th.  Application deadline is January 4th.     The responsibilities for this internship position include:  1.) Assist coaches in the training of all UNT athletes.  2.) Perform daily maintenance of weight room and equipment.  3.) Educational projects will be given weekly.   Preferred qualifications for this position include: completed or currently pursuing Master's Degree in Exercise Science; prior experience in strength and conditioning setting; and playing experience in collegiate athletics.  CSCS, CSCCa, USAW and/or CPR certification is recommended.  All applicants must have a strong aspiration to become a full-time strength and conditioning coach.  No monetary compensation will be given.  Please e-mail cover letter, resume and 3 references to Rick Lefebvre, Assistant Director of Speed, Strength and Conditioning, [email protected]
