Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech has added two years to Paul Johnson’s contract, keeping him under contract through 2022. Financial terms were not disclosed; Johnson made $2.97 million in 2017. Johnson has been at Georgia Tech since 2009, and his 182 all-time wins are fourth among active FBS head coaches.

The Citadel (FCS – SC): Colton Korn has joined the staff as a special teams quality control assistant.

Minnesota: The Gophers are looking to take the lead on preventing sexual assault on campus.

Virginia: Special teams coordinator Kelly Poppinga has been promoted to co-defensive coordinator, sharing oversight of that side of the ball with Nick Howell, who retains his title as defensive coordinator. Tenth assistant Ricky Brumfield has been named special teams coordinator.

Ole Miss: Per source, Chattanooga defensive and recruiting analyst Steven Ruzic has taken a position on the recruiting staff at Ole Miss.

Kansas: Offensive coordinator Doug Meacham will switch from wide receivers to quarterbacks, while quarterbacks coach Garrett Riley will move to fullbacks, tight ends and inside receivers. Justin Johnson, who was promoted from an analyst role to the full-time staff, will be the Jayhawks’ wide receivers coach.

Carson-Newman (D-II – TN): Antonio Goss has been hired as defensive backs and special teams coach. He was previously on staff at East Tennessee State.

Job responsibilities include: Coach a position group, assist the Head Football Coach with all duties of successfully operating our football program, including but not limited to recruiting student-athletes, assisting with training sessions/game preparation/game-day coaching, monitoring the student-athletes academically and managing game day responsibilities.
