Morgan State (FCS – MD): Sources tell FootballScoop head coach Ernest T. Jones has been let go. Jones served as head coach this season, guiding the Bears to 4-7 season. From his bio: Prior to becoming interim head coach, Jones served as the team’s Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Before joining the Bears, Coach Jones was previously the Head Coach at ASA Miami, a two-year college. Prior to that he worked briefly as the running backs coach for UConn in 2014, following a three-year stint at Notre Dame that began in 2011 as the Fighting Irish’s director of player development and engagement.
LSU: Per source, player personnel analyst Collin D’Angelo has been promoted to assistant director of player personnel.

Mississippi State: Matt Prehm tweets that Oregon wide receivers coach Michael Johnson is “in the SEC area and will be interviewing for an open wide receiver position.” Sources tell FootballScoop that Johnson is interviewing for the vacant receivers job at Joe Moorhead’s staff. Prehm adds that Johnson is expected to be offered the job following the interview.
Boston College: Steve Addazio has announced the addition of Eric Lewis as their new defensive backs coach. Lewis spent last season coaching the corners at Colorado State and prior to that was on the Tennessee staff in 2017.
Florida: David Turner, who coached the defensive line at UTSA last season, is expected to be the new defensive line coach on Dan Mullen’s staff, source tells FootballScoop. Turner previously spent two stints on the Mississippi State staff (2013-15 with Mullen), and prior to joining UTSA he served as the defensive tackles coach and run game coordinator during the 2016-17 seasons at Texas A&M
Washington Redskins: Former Bucs special teams coordinator Nate Kaczor is the new special teams coordinator for the Redskins.
DeAngelo Hall: The NFL veteran defensive back has interviewed for a job with both the Redskins and Maryland as he explores a transition into coaching, per 106.7 The Fan and PFT. Hall retired from the NFL after the 2017 season.
Northern Illinois: New head coach Thomas Hammock shares the story on how he unconventionally discovered who he wanted to bring in as his offensive coordinator.
Kean (D-III – NJ): Per source, Dennis Mikula will be the team’s new offensive coordinator after previously serving as the offensive coordinator at Don Bosco Prep (NJ).
Akron: Per source, Alex Kline will be the new director of recruiting at Akron. Kline comes from Pitt where he assisted in recruiting and was an offensive volunteer assistant. He previously served as the offensive coordinato at St. Vincent College (D-III – PA) and played at John Carroll (D-III – OH).
Dallas Cowboys: Ian Rapoport tweets that while no official decision has been made, the expected offensive staff in Dallas is Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator, Jon Kitna as quarterbacks coach and tight ends coach Doug Nussmeier “with more influence” and head coach Jason Garrett not calling the plays.
Arizona Cardinals: Kliff Kingsbury has interviewed Clemson offensive intern JP Losman for a position on the Cardinals offensive staff, Ian Rapoport tweets. Losman joined the Clemson program back in June of 2017 as a coaching intern.
Northern Illinois: New head coach Thomas Hammock has a 5-year deal worth $500k annually, per the Daily Chronicle. The report adds that Hammock has incentives listed that would allow him to make an additional $500k for achievements like leading the team to a New Years Six Bowl game, among other things.
New York Jets: Source tells FootballScoop that Central Michigan run game coordinator / offensive line coach Derek Frazier is joining the Jets organization. Frazier spent the past four seasons on John Bonamego’s staff in Mount Pleasant and prior to that spent three seasons as the offensive line coach at Colorado State.
Southeast Missouri State (FCS): Southeast Missouri State is looking for a single game to fill a home date next season for September 21st, 2019 against an FCS, D2 or NAIA opponent. Willing to pay a guarantee for this game. Interested programs should contact Brady Barke at [email protected].
Northern Illinois: In addition to offensive coordinator Eric Eidsness, NIU has also announced the additions of former Liberty defensive coordinator Robert Wimberly and Jordan Gigli as defensive assistants. We understand that Wimberly will work with the linebackers, and pointed out yesterday that, per source, Gigli will coach the defensive line.
Bethel (NAIA – TN): Michael Jasper has been named head coach. Jasper spent the past three seasons as an assistant with the program as the assistant head coach and defensive line coach. Jasper replaces Brent Dearmon, who stepped away to join the Kansas staff under Les Miles.

Fitchburg State (D-III – MA): Former Nichols College (D-III – MA) Gerry Snay has been hired to coach the defensive line, per source.
Eastern Michigan: Jeff Collett has been announced as the new director of recruiting operations and player personnel at Eastern Michigan. Collett has spent the past 11 seasons as the defensive line coach / recruiting coordinator at Centre College (D-III – KY).

The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Eduction.
