Detroit Lions: Billy Yates will join the staff as the assistant offensive line coach, sources tell us. He is currently Bowling Green’s head strength coach.

Bowling Green: The Falcons have hired Central Michigan GA Dejon Gomes as cornerbacks coach, a source tells FootballScoop. He will be Bowling Green’s 10th assistant.

Alabama: Daniel Bush will return to Tuscaloosa for a role on the recruiting staff, sources told FootballScoop on Friday. Bush was the director of player personnel and assistant director of recruiting at Arkansas the past three years, and prior to that worked as a recruiting specialist while earning his MBA at Alabama. Bush has been working as Colorado State’s director of player personnel since January.

Rhodes College (D-III – TN): We’re told Chris DiLella has been promoted from special teams coordinator to defensive coordinator.

Lawrence (D-III – WI): Lawrence University who competes in the Midwest Conference is seeking applicants for a full time Defensive position coach, (Defensive Line preferred). Job responsibilities include: Coach a position group, assist the Head Football Coach with all duties of successfully operating our football programincluding but not limited to recruiting student-athletes, assisting with training sessions/game preparation/gameday coaching, monitoring the student-athletes academically and managing game day responsibilities. Also, as a member of the athletics department this person will have additional responsibilities assigned by the athletics director. St. Lawrence (D-III – NY): St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., has an immediate opening for a full time recruiting coordinator/defensive position coach. This person will coach a defensive position in the front 7, coordinate all recruiting areas, hold group/individual meetings, have own special team responsibility, and any other areas assigned by the Head Coach. Applicants must be able to work with students and possess strong interpersonal skills. Requirements include college coaching and recruiting experience. Hampton (FCS – VA): Bobby Blizzard is the new wide receivers coach at Hampton, sources tell FootballScoop.

Tennessee: Former Cowboy and Falcons scout Kevin Simon joined Jeremy Pruitt’s staff a few weeks back as director of player development. Simon played at Tennessee, spent nearly 8 years with the Cowboys and the past two seasons in personnel with the Falcons.

North Carolina: The Heels have formally announced Henry Baker as an assistant coach, though his specific duties were not disclosed. Baker coached cornerbacks for Rutgers in 2017.

UC Davis (FCS): Deontrae Cooper has been hired as a quality control assistant working with the wide receivers.

St. Lawrence (D-III – NY): Defensive backs coach/recruiting coordinator Keith Bruno has been promoted to defensive coordinator, and Bob Davies has been hired as a wide receivers graduate assistant.

LSU: LSU is pursuing Texas assistant director of player personnel Bryan Carrington, per a tweet from Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods. However, we have heard a different version of this story. Stay tuned…

Concordia (NAIA – MI): Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich., has an immediate opening for a restricted earnings position. This position will be working with our running backs. Iowa Central (JC): Iowa Central Community College has an opening for a Wide Receiver Coach/ Video Coordinator. This position will be responsible for the wide receivers along with coordinating the daily video . Applicants must be skilled with HUDL. The position will have a significant role in recruiting as well. Applicants with experience playing college football or previous coaching experience (preferably on offense) are preferred. Candidates, will need a valid driver’s license, regular access to a vehicle and a clean background.
