Michigan: Source tells FootballScoop Michigan plans to fill the recruiting coordinator position from within.

Washington: Source tells FootballScoop Michigan recruiting coordinator Cooper Petagna is headed to Washington as director of player personnel. Petagna has experience in recruiting at Cincinnati, LSU, Alabama & more.

USC: USC has announced that offensive coordinator Tee Martin and defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast have signed contract extensions. Terms were not disclosed.

Independence CC (KS): Independence Community College has an opening for an offensive & defensive assistant position, working directly with the Offensive Line/TE’s or H-Backs/RB’s/QB’s on offense, and LB’s on defense. These positions will have significant roles in recruiting as well. The positions will also have additional ancillary responsibilities associated with the football program. The positions are for individuals that can commit to the development of student athletes daily through the academic year and will pursue a career coaching football rather than part-time coaching work. Applicants with experience playing college football or previous coaching experience are preferred. Candidates, will need a valid driver’s license, regular access to a vehicle and a clean background. Western Illinois (FCS): Per source, Delaware (FCS) running backs coach Mike Brown is joining the staff as wide receivers coach and David Rocco (who coached the wide receivers last season) is moving to quarterbacks coach.

John Carroll (D-III – OH): Brush HS (OH) head coach Jeff Fink is stepping down to become the offensive coordinator on Rick Finotti’s staff at John Carroll.

Notre Dame College (D-II – OH): Per source, former UTEP defensive line coach Andrew Browning is joining the staff as defensive line coach.

Ohio State: Taver Johnson, who coached the defensive backs at Purdue before joining the Temple staff as defensive coordinator in 2017, is joining the staff to coach the corners, a source tells FootballScoop. Read more here. Johnson has also coached at Arkansas, Miami (OH), Cleveland Browns, and Notre Dame, and previously coached the Buckeye corners from 2007-11.

East Central (D-II – OH): Al Johnson has completed his staff as follows; Jeff Duckworth (OC / WRs), Antonio Fenelus (DC / DBs), Eric Eisenberg (ILBs), John Litrenta (OLBs), Kris McCullough (QBs), Joe Foster (RBs), and Garret Johnson (OL / TEs).

Rutgers: Former Nebraska offensive assistant John Weiss is joining the staff in an offensive quality control role, per source.

Franklin (D-III – IN): Ryan McElwain, who previously served as the defensive coordinator at Kalamazoo College (D-III – MI), is joining the staff as special teams coordinator / defensive backs coach.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals have signed GM Steve Keim to a new contract that now runs through 2022, the team has announced.

Florida: Former Gator defensive back Vernell Brown is coming back to Gainesville as the director of player development, per source.

Pitt: Dave Borbely has been announced as the new offensive line coach on Pat Narduzzi’ staff. Borbely coached the Maryland offensive line in 2016 before moving to an assistant to the head coach role last season and also coached at Notre Dame, Virginia, Louisville, Colorado, Stanford, Tulane, Temple, Rice, Tennessee and Penn.

Memphis: Sources tell FootballScoop that Incarnate Word (FCS – TX) defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach Scott Symons is heading to Memphis to coach the linebackers.

Houston Texans: Former Duke and Southern Miss graduate assistant Matt O’Donnel has been hired as a defensive assistant.

Wheaton (D-III – IL): Wheaton College is looking to hire an offensive restricted earnings coach. The ideal candidate will have experience playing or coaching on the offensive line. Augustana (D-III – IL): Per source, Augie has hired former RPI (D-III – NY) and former Chicago (D-III – IL) head coach Dick Maloney to coach their linebackers.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles are expected to promote assistant quarterbacks coach Press Taylor to quarterbacks coach, tweets Ian Rapoport. Taylor will replace John DeFilippo, who is now the Vikings’ offensive coordinator.

Florida: Dan Mullen notes that he’s open to bringing Tim Tebow back to Gainesville as a member of his staff.

New Mexico: Per source, safeties coach Jordan Peterson has been promoted to defensive pass game coordinator.

Hastings (NAIA – NE): Hastings College is looking to hire a defensive graduate assistant position. Qualified candidates must have experience either playing and/or coaching the defensive secondary and be accepted to the MAT Program. Philadelphia Eagles: With offensive coordinator Frank Reich taking the Colts head coaching job, Jeff McLane tweets that running backs coach Duce Staley and wide receivers coach Mike Groh are the top in-house candidates to replace Reich.

Illinois: Cody Gibson, a defensive graduate assistant at West Virginia, has accepted an offensive quality control job on Lovie Smith’s staff, per source.

Rice: Per source, Stephen F. Austin (FCS – TX) run game coordinator / offensive line coach Bill Best is joining the Rice staff as tight ends coach.

Kean (D-III – NJ): Mike Columbo, who coached the offensive line, has accepted the head coaching job at Immaculata HS (NJ).

Troy: Per source, Jacksonville State (FCS – AL) co-defensive coordinator / safeties coach Brandon Hall is expected to join the Troy staff coaching the linebackers.

Michigan: Former Jets offensive coordinator John Morton is a candidate for the receivers job on on Jim Harbaugh’s staff, Rich Cimini tweets.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts and new head coach Frank Reich have put in a request to interview Chargers wide receivers coach Nick Sirianni for the offensive coordinator job and the Chargers are granting the request, Albert Breer tweets.
