Fordham: Former New Mexico director of recruiting Vince Natali will be the new offensive line coach at Fordham, per source.

Michigan: Mark Taurisani, who previously served as the DFO at Arkansas, is joining the Michigan program as DFO, per source.

San Jose State: Terry Malley, who previously served in a number of capacities with the program dating back to 2000, is joining the staff as a defensive analyst. Malley has been an assistant and head coach at Santa Clara University, GM for the San Jose SaberCats, and coached the running backs, wide receivers and tight ends at SJSU.

New England Patriots: Source tells FootballScoop Greg Schiano is planning to bring University of Minnesota defensive coordinator Robb Smith with him to the Patriots. Smith served on Schiano’s staff at Rutgers and with the Tampa Bay Bucs. However at this time nothing is in place and we wouldn’t expect anything to occur before signing day. Smith tweeted the following as a response to our report.

UMass: UMass has announced the addition of former Hawaii linebackers coach Sean Duggan, as well as a few promotions and duty changes. Leonard Hankerson from offensive graduate assistant to wide receivers coach, Spencer Whipple will move from wide receivers coach to passing game coordinator / quarterbacks coach, and offensive analyst Scott Woodward is being promoted from offensive analyst to tight ends coach.

Miami (OH): Miami is looking to hire a full-time defensive assistant football coach. This is a twelve month position and benefits eligible. This position is best filled by an individual with an undergraduate degree and  experience coaching at the college level, high school level and/or equivalent professional experience. New York Giants: The Giants are hiring Deshea Townsend as an assistant defensive backs coach, and Ben Wilkerson as an assistant offensive line coach, per a report from Alex Marvez.

Chicago Bears: Former Eagles linebackers coach Bill Shuey, who was with the team from 2008-10, is joining the Bears as a defensive assistant, per Adam Caplan’s tweet. Shuey previously was the defensive coordinator at Widener (D-III- PA).

Minnesota: Per sources, Austin Peay (FCS – TN) co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach / assistant head coach Marcus West is joining the staff as defensive ends coach. West previously coached the defensive line at Chattanooga (FCS – TN) and Wartbug (D-III – IA).

UTEP: UTEP has formally announced the additions of Mike Simmonds (OL), Joe Robinson (STC), Matt Rahl (recruiting coordinator), and Josh Ogelesby (offensive quality control).

Detroit Lions: The Lions have now announced Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia as their new head coach. More here.

Chicago Bears: Adam Caplan tweets that Brian Ginn is expected to expected to join the staff as an offensive assistant. Ginn has coached the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends at Delaware (FCS) and also served as passing game coordinator and tight ends coach there.

William Paterson (D-III – NJ): Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Jerry Flora has stepped down after 10 seasons leading the program.

Black Hills State (D-II – SD): Black Hills State University an NCAA Division II school and member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), has a graduate assistant coaching position beginning immediately. The position includes an $8,000 stipend, camp bonus, reduced tuition and possible meals. Responsibilities include coaching defensive backs, running positional meetings, assisting with special teams, helping with weekly game plan, film breakdown and data entry (HUDL), recruiting, and other duties assigned by the head football coach and Athletic Director. The ideal candidate would have a minimum 1 year coaching experience or collegiate playing experience. St. Norbert (D-III – WI): Per source, Dakota State (NAIA -SD) offensive line coach Dennis Cooper has accepted the offensive coordinator / offensive line job at St. Norbert.

Arizona Cardinals: Per source, Cam Turner is leaving his post as the assistant quarterbacks coach / offensive quality control with the Panthers for a position on the Cardinals staff.

UW-Stout (D-III): UW-Stout, located in Menomonie, WI is looking for one game for 2018-19.  Open dates are September 15th (week 3) or September 22nd (week 4). Bowling Green: Per source, Jackson State (FCS – MS) defensive backs coach LaMarcus Hicks has taken the defensive backs job at Bowling Green.

Rutgers: Rutgers is set to hire Bergen Catholic (Oradell, NJ) head coach Nunzio Campanile as their new running backs coach, according to NJ.com. The report adds that the role of current running backs coach Lester Erb moving forward is “unclear” at this time.

Adam Caplan adds in a tweet that Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub would be a potential target for the job if McDaniels decides to stay in New England. With the Super Bowl now done, expect some clarity on this one soon.

Fordham (FCS – NY): Per a report from 247, St. Lawrence (D-III -NY) defensive coordinator, Scott Vallone has accepted an assistant coaching job on the Fordham staff. Vallone is a former Rutgers defensive lineman who went on to spend a few seasons as a graduate assistant.
