Army: Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA) head coach Matt Drinkall has accepted a position on the Army staff. Drinkall led the program the past five seasons, including a 13-1 mark this past season.
Green Bay: The Packers are hiring former Jaguars offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as OC tweets Albert Breer.
Bucknell (FCS – PA): Sources tell FootballScoop head coach Joe Susan plans to step down. Quality football coach now available.
Temple: NIU offensive line coach Joe Tripodi is joining Rod Carey’s staff at Temple in the same capacity. Quarterbacks coach Craig Harmon is heading to Temple as well. Head here for a look at NIU candidates.
Louisville: Sources tell FootballScoop Scott Satterfield plans to hire Norval McKenzie to fill his running backs position. McKenzie has coached running backs the past three seasons at Arkansas State (adding special teams coordinator role this season as well). Prior to joining Blake Anderson’s staff at A-State McKenzie coached five seasons at Furman. And this is too good not to add, from his official bio at A-State: McKenzie was a rare triple major, earning an undergraduate degree in secondary education, political science, and American history in 2005. He completed his master’s degree in education at Vanderbilt in 2010.
Minnesota: The Vikings will hire Gary Kubiak in an offensive advisory role tweets Adam Schefter who adds Gary’s son Klint is expected to join the staff as quarterbacks coach for offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski. Alex Marvez adds that Rick Dennison (OL) and Brian Pariani (TEs) are expected to go as well.
Arizona: Kliff Kingsbury is reportedly hiring former Steelers running backs coach James Saxon for the same role.
San Francisco: The 49ers plan to hire Dolphins defensive line coach Kris Kocurek in the same capacity reports Adam Caplan.
Kansas State: UTEP defensive line coach Mike Tuiasosopo is joining the K-State staff as defensive tackles coach.
Bowdoin College (D-III – ME): Allegheny College (D-III – PA) head coach BJ Hammer has accepted the head coaching position at Bowdoin. Allegheny has begun a national search.
Chicago Bears: Sources tell FootballScoop the Bears are exploring hiring away a Power 5 defensive coordinator.
Michigan: New offensive coordinator Josh Gattis has signed a 3-year deal that pays him $900,000 annually, a $200,000 signing bonus and up to $400,000 in performance bonuses, according to Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press.
Kansas: Joshua Eargle has joined the KU staff as a senior offensive analyst, sources tell FootballScoop. Eargle is formerly the head coach at East Texas Baptist and spent the past three seasons as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Austin Peay.
Boston College: Mike Bajakian has now been formally announced as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Kansas: Edward Jones II, who spent the last three seasons as the director of player development at Houston, has joined the Kansas staff in the same capacity.
Denver Broncos: Mike Munchak has agreed to terms to become the new offensive line coach, per Mike Klis.
Pitt: Pat Narduzzi is expected to tab a former FBS head coach for his offensive coordinator job.
Northwestern: Kurt Anderson, who spent this past season in a quality control role with the program and previously coached the offensive line at Arkansas, has officially been promoted to offensive line coach.
Western Michigan: As we reported late last week, Western Michigan has now formally announced that co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach Lou Esposito, who served as the team’s interim defensive coordinator the last two games of the season, has been promoted to defensive coordinator moving forward and that Mike Bath has joined the staff as running backs coach after coaching the tight ends and fullbacks the past few seasons at Wyoming. The program has also announced the additions of Charlotte secondary coach James Adams (Corners), former William & Mary (FCS – VA) defensive coordinator Trevor Andrews (LBs), & former ECU passing game coordinator / wide receivers coach Keith Gaither (WRs).
Simon Fraser (D-II – Canada): Simon Fraser University Football in Burnaby, BC is looking to fill 2 positions immediately. Scoop ‘Em Up:Tim Ladd is currently the offensive line coach at NAIA, Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Tim is currently in a part-time role and looking to obtain a full-time position at the college level. Saint Xavier has made the playoffs 8 out of the last 10 years, playing in 5 semi-finals and brought home a National Championship in 2011. After a decorated playing career, Tim joined the Saint Xavier staff in 2014. Tim has played a major role in the offensive success at Saint Xavier. Under his guidance Saint Xavier has seen multiple All-Americans on the offensive line. UVA-Wise (D-II): UVA-Wise is looking to add 3 intern positions. The position is un-paid, but does include room and board. The positions will assist with recruiting, scouting reports, film breakdown, and all other duties assigned by head coach/coordinator. Applicants with OL background will be strongly considered. Albion (D-III – MI): Albion College has two part-time positions available on staff. These are 5-6 month positions with employment beginning as soon as possible. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in college athletics as a coach or player preferred. Boston College: Pete Thamel tweets that former Tampa Bay Bucs quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian is expected to become the new offensive coordinator on Steve Addazio’s staff. Bajakian has previous stops in college coaching at Tennessee, Cincinnati, and Central Michigan where he served as offensive coordinator at each stop.
Ohio State: Greg Studrawa will return to coach the Buckeyes offensive line in 2019, Bill Rabinowitz tweets. The report adds that there had “been some rumblings” about Stud joining Mike Locksley’s staff at Maryland.
Washington State: Washington State University has a defensive graduate assistant position open with an emphasis in the secondary. Must have at least a 2.8 undergrad GPA. Email resumes to [email protected]. No phone calls please.
West Virginia: Troy cornerbacks coach / recruiting coordinator Al Pogue is following Neal Brown to Morgantown, sources tell FootballScoop.
Cleveland Browns: Freddie Kitchens shared today that he plans to continue to call offensive plays as head coach.
Austin Peay (FCS – TN): Sources tell FootballScoop Mark Hudspeth plans to hire Matt Wallerstedt as his defensive coordinator at Austin Peay. Wallerstedt has previously served as defensive coordinator at Charlotte and Texas Tech. He also has coaching experience at UTEP and Wyoming.
Heidelberg (D-III – OH): Heidelberg University is looking for a graduate assistant. Preferably at DL and able to start immediately. Meals, housing, tuition included with a stipend. Must be able to be admitted into Graduate School (Business or Education available). Interested candidates can email [email protected] with resumes.
FAU: Ernie Sims, the former Florida State linebacker who joined the program as a strength and conditioning intern before earning a full-time role with the strength program, has been promoted to director of player development. Also, Mike Nysewander has been promoted from graduate assistant to director of player development as well.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Broncos senior personnel advisor Gary Kubiak is scheduled to interview for the offensive coordinator job with the Jags tomorrow, Ian Rapoport tweets. Rap adds that Broncos GM John Elway is willing to let Kubiak out of his contract for a coaching job.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have formally announced the following additions to the staff; Steve Wilks (DC), Todd Monken (OC), Mike Priefer (STC), Stump Mitchell (RBs / Run Game Coordinator), James Campen (OL / Associate head coach), Ryan Lindley (QBs), Jody Wright (special assistant to the head coach), Jim Dray (Offensive QC), Tyler Tettleton (offensive QC).
Stephen F. Austin (FCS – TX): Per source, Fort Hays State (D-II – KS) passing game coordinator / quarterbacks coach Philip Vigil has joined the staff.
Montana State (FCS): Western Illinois (FCS) wide receivers coach Erik Frazier is leaving the staff to become the wide receivers staff at Montana State, per source.
Oklahoma: After first electing to stay in Columbia, Missouri outside linebackers coach Brian Odom is leaving Mizzou to join Alex Grinch’s defensive staff in Norman, according to Power Mizzou.
Cleveland Browns: UAB assistant head coach / offensive line coach Jody Wright is set to be hired on the Browns staff as an offensive assistant, per multiple reports.
Northern Illinois: An update on the candidates at Northern Illinois.
Dallas Cowboys: Jason Garrett said on 105.3 the fan this morning that offensive coordinator Scott Linehan will return and that he doesn’t expect any significant changes to the staff.
West Virginia: Source tells FootballScoop Troy defensive line coach Jordan Lesley and Troy co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks Sean Reagan are both expected to join Neal Brown at West Virginia.
South Carolina: Will Muschamp’s group just moved into a new $50 million facility; and it is impressive.
Miami Dolphins: Former Lions and Colts head coach Jim Caldwell will join the staff of Brian Flores, per a tweet from Ian Rapoport.

Marshall: Former Charlotte head coach Brad Lambert is “one of the prime targets” for the vacant Marshall defensive coordinator job, Bruce Feldman tweets.
Georgia: Todd Hartley has joined the staff as tight ends coach. Hartley most recently coached the tight ends for Mark Richt at Miami. Hartley’s coaching career started as a student assistant at UGA, and he has also coached safeties at Marshall and served as director of player personnel at Georgia for a season.
Troy: Source tells FootballScoop that Chip Lindsey has his coordinators, and the staff is coming together…
Villanova (FCS – PA): After 24 years, offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Sam Venuto has decided to retire, per source. Also, defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Joe Trainer has resigned to pursue opportunities outside of coaching.
Temple: Jeff Knowles is following Rod Carey from Northern Illinois to Temple as defensive coordinator / linebackers coach. Knowles served as the defensive coordinator at NIU. Prior to that he was a defensive quality control coach at NC State.
LSU: Defensive backs coach Corey Raymond is staying at LSU after interviewing with Georgia, per NOLA.com.
Toledo: Notre Dame graduate assistant Larry Black has joined the program as defensive line coach, per Jordan Strack.
NY Jets: The Jets have extended the contract of special teams coordinator Brant Boyer, and he will remain on the staff of new head coach Adam Gase, per Adam Caplan.
West Virginia State (D-II): West Virginia State University is looking to play a FCS program that is within 4 1/2 hour driving distance on Saturday September 14th. Interested programs can inquire via this link.
