Green Bay Packers: Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur will be Green Bay’s new head coach, per multiple reports

Miami: The addition of defensive coordinator / inside linebackers Blake Baker is now official and Manny Diaz has finalized his defensive staff as follows; Ephraim Banda (co-DC / safeties), Jonathan Patke (OLBs) Jess Simpson will remain as associate head coach and defensive line coach, and Mike Rumph will continue as corners coach.

Todd Monken: Rick Stroud tweets that former Bucs offensive coordinator Todd Monken has completed interviews with the Packers and Bengals and is heading to meet with the Jets about their head coaching job.

Mississippi Valley State (FCS): Mississippi Valley State has an immediate opening for a defensive line Coach. This is a full time position that comes with full benefits. A Bachelor’s degree is required. College-coaching experience at Division I, II or III level defensive line is preferred. Experience with Hudl, data entry, and graphic design is a plus. This position will come with a recruiting area. NO CALLS! If interested contact [email protected].

The College of New Jersey (D-III): Wide receivers coach Norman King is no longer with the program, per source.

Kliff Kingsbury: Kingsbury is expected to begin interviewing for NFL head coaching opportunities, Jay Glazer and Adam Schefter tweet. USC had reportedly blocked from Kingsbury from those opportunities. Multiple reports add that Kliff has interviewed with the Jets today, and there is a mutual interest between him and the Cardinals as well.

AFCA: Ohio University head coach Frank Solich will serve as AFCA President for 2019. Gary Patterson, Pat Fitzgerald and Craig Bohl are set to follow in future years.

Tampa Bay Bucs: All signs point to Bruce Arians being Tampa’s new head coach, tweets Ian Rapoport.

Ohio State: Multiple reports out of Ohio today that Greg Schiano will not return to the staff. FootballScoop can confirm the news via Sources and add that Ryan Day is planning to hire Greg Mattison from Michigan. More to come…. Update: San Francisco 49ers defensive backs coach Jeff Hafley will be Ohio State’s new co-defensive coordinator. Hafley will work with Mattison as Ohio State’s other co-coordinator the university has now announced. Larry Johnson is also adding associate head coach title.

College Football Hall of Fame: Dennis Erickson and Joe Taylor were elected to the College Football Hall of Fame’s 2019 class, the National Football Foundation announced today. Erickson went 179-96-1 with two national championships at Idaho, Wyoming, Washington State, Miami, Oregon State and Arizona State from 1982-2011, while Taylor was 233-96-4 at Howard, Virginia Union, Hampton and Florida A&M from 1983-2012.

Navarro College (JC – TX): Navarro College is looking to hire two defensive interns. The best candidates will be hired. The position is UNPAID. The intern position does provide housing and a meal plan. The defensive interns will assist in game planning, coaching a position and all other tasks given by the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Austin Peay (FCS – TN): Source tells FootballScoop Mississippi State defensive grad assistant Mark Powell is expected to be the new safeties coach at Austin Peay.

Washington: Co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach Matt Lubick is leaving the staff for a business opportunity, Bruce Feldman tweets.

Tusculum (D-II – TN): Tusculum University is looking for a Defensive Graduate Assistant to work with the Corners and Secondary. Please send any resumes and cover letter to [email protected] If you are in San Antonio could possibly meet with a representative of the football staff.

FootballScoop Party: Our annual party is tonight beginning at 5pm at Bar Rojo in the Grand Hyatt (just outside of the convention center). Open to all coaches, wives and families. Hope to see many of you as we all celebrate another great season.

Buffalo Bills: The Bills have requested an interview with Broncos offensive line coach Sean Kugler, but Denver is currently blocking teams from interviewing any of their coaches, per Ryan Talbot. 

Maine (FCS): The coordinator positions at Maine have been filled from within. Mike Ryan will be the DC and Andrew Dresner will be the OC. Ryan has spent the past five seasons with the team coaching the defensive line, linebackers and as recruiting coordinator. Ryan will remain working with the inside linebackers. Dresner spent last season working with receivers at Maine and spent the 2017 season as the Pace University (D-II – NTY) offensive coordinator. Dresner will also coach quarterbacks. 

Cleveland Browns: Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus complete his interview with the Browns yesterday evening, per Adam Schefter.
