UConn: Offensive coordinator Frank Verducci will not return to the staff. In making the announcement, UConn added, “Evaluations of each member of the coaching staff will take place in the coming weeks by Bob Diaco.”

UC Davis: Dan Hawkins has agreed to become head coach at Davis, Brett McMurphy of ESPN has just reported and we can confirm. Hawk had recently agreed to serve as OC at FIU; but this is the one he has wanted for a long time.

Texas: Houston co-defensive coordinator / safeties coach Craig Naivar will be joining Tom Herman’s staff at Texas, per SI.

Fresno State: Source tells FootballScoop Jeff Tedford has released all remaining members of Tim DeRuyter’s staff including director of strength & conditioning Thomas Stallworth. The school has announced the same.

Houston: Houston is using the Collegiate Sports Associates search firm to help find their next head coach.

Texas: As expected and as reported by Bobby Burton yesterday, Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods writes today that Tom Herman has decided not to retain any of Charlie Strong’s assistants. Tom has his plan. Knows who he is bringing. His staff will look exceptionally similar to his staff at Houston.

FIU: FIU has formally announced Bobby Babich and Tim Harris, Jr., will remain on staff. Babich coaches defensive backs and Harris handles running backs. “I am thrilled that Bobby Babich and Tim Harris, Jr., are going to be part the FIU coaching staff,” FIU head coach Butch Davis said. “Not only are they both outstanding coaches, but they are both good men.”

Alderson Broaddus (D-II – WV): Kirk Campbell has been announced as the new head coach of the program. Cambell spent the past five seasons as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Michigan: The Big Ten has fined Michigan $10,000 and issued a public reprimand for Jim Harbaugh following his critical comments on the officiating after the Ohio State game.

FIU: Bobby Babich will be retained by Butch Davis per a report from Alex Marvez. Babich began this past season coaching the defensive backs; but moved to linebackers / defensive coordinator when Ron Cooper took over as interim head coach.

Minnesota: AD Mark Coyle issued the following statement today: “Tracy and I have begun to discuss this past season and the plan for our program moving forward. He is our head football coach. As is the case with every one of our head coaches, he has my full support…” Claeys has two years remaining on his contract with a buyout figure of $250,000 per remaining season.

Baylor: Trav Haney of 247 writes that Baylor has moved on from Chad Morris. However, sources tell us this is not the case. Haney mentions other candidates as Larry Fedora, Mike MacIntyre, Sonny Dykes and Philip Montgomery.

Broyles Award: Jeremy Pruitt, Jim Leavitt, Brent Venables, Don Brown and Matt Canada have been announced as Broyles Award finalists. The winner will be announced next Tuesday.

Willamette (D-III – OR): Willamette University is looking for a defensive assistant coach (defensive backs). The applicant will be responsible for coaching the defensive backs and will have a recruiting territory. This is a 12 month position that pays $15,000 per year, includes benefits,  and may include a housing option. LSU: Dave Aranda has agreed to a new three year deal to continue as the Tigers’ defensive coordinator & associate head coach reports David Ching of ESPN & Ross Dellenger.

Union (NAIA – KY): Longtime assistant Andre Linn has been promoted to head coach. Linn recently completed his 16th season with the program and he has served as the associate head coach and offensive coordinator the past three seasons.

Baylor: Interim head coach Jim Grobe said today that he doesn’t envision coaching again after this season.

Brian Polian: Contractually, Brian Polian is due $525,000 from Nevada in connection with their buying out the final year of his contract.

Texas: The University of Texas owes the University of Houston $2.5 million to complete the buyout of Tom Herman’s contract.

PJ Fleck: We understand that there are reports out there of various schools contacting PJ Fleck to gauge his interest. We understand Fleck and his representatives have consistently told each program that they won’t engage in conversations until after the MAC title game against Ohio, which will take place this Friday night.

Texas College (NAIA): Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Greg Ruffin will not return after leading the program for two seasons.

UMass: Athletic director Ryan Bamford noted over the weekend that Mark Whipple, who finished the year 2-10 and is 9-27 since taking over prior to 2014 season, will continue to lead the program. “Given the maturity of this program, I would take this season and build off it and Whip is absolutely the guy to do that for us,” Bamford told The Daily Hampshire Gazette. “I think we acquitted ourselves well throughout the year. With a couple plays here and there, we might have had the opportunity to get a couple more wins.” Bamford acknowledged that

Dartmouth (FCS): Offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Keith Clark’s duties will consist of just offensive line coach moving forward, while quarterbacks coach Chris Rorke, running backs coach Chad Nice, and tight ends coach Kyle Metzler have all been let go, per Valley News.

Purdue: DHR International and Glenn Sugiyama have been retained to assist in the search for a new head coach at Purdue, per source.

Vukovi Beograd (Belgrade, Serbia): The Vukovi Beograd are seeking a DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR for one of the top ranked teams in Eastern Europe. The position implement the defensive scheme and personnel.
