Maryland: An explosive report littered with damning allegations was published late yesterday calling into question the actions of DJ Durkin and his staff. In response to that report, Maryland AD Damon Evans informed staff that head strength coach Rick Court, head athletic trainer Wes Robinson and director of athletic training Steve Nordwall have been placed on administrative leave, according to ESPN’s Heather Dinich and Adam Rittenberg. Texas A&M: Defensive coordinator Mike Elko will earn $1.8 million and head strength coach Jerry Schmidt will earn $575,000 this year, according to USA Today’s Steve Berkowitz. Schmidt made $339,000 at Oklahoma last year; Elko’s salary was not known.
William Paterson (D-III – NJ): William Paterson is looking to add a defensive assistant coach. Must have a bachelor’s degree from accredited institution. Must have college football playing experience or minimum of 4 years high school football coaching experience. This is a part-time position only, no meals or housing provided. Limestone (D-II – SC): Per source, David Keeny has been named as the defensive line coach at Limestone. Keeny comes from Shorter College (D-II – GA) and is the former head football coach at Kutztown University (D-II – PA). Also joining the Saints coaching staff are former Tusculum College (D-II – TN) quarterback Luke Lancaster and former Carson-Newman University (D-II – TN) defensive end Coy DeWeese.
