New York Jets: The Jets are reportedly expected to fire Todd Bowles after their finale on Sunday.

Houston: Houston plans to fire Major Applewhite reports Steven Godfrey of SB Nation; who adds that U of H plans to consider….Dana Holgorsen for the position.

Kansas State: Sean Snyder will remain with the program in an administrative role, ESPN’s Jake Trotter reports today as was reported yesterday locally by the Mercury. Additionally, defensive line coach Mo Lattimore has announced his retirement.

Houston: Sources tell FootballScoop Houston is evaluating all options regarding the program, including replacing Major Applewhite as head coach. Sources tell FootballScoop Dana Holgorsen is being considered…

Memphis: Marshall defensive coordinator Adam Fuller is joining Mike Norvell’s staff in the same capacity. At Marshall Fuller served as defensive coordinator this season after having served as assistant head coach / special teams coordinator from 2013-17. He had served as defensive coordinator at Chattanooga from ’09-12.

Maine (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop inside linebackers coach Mike Ryan is expected to be promoted to defensive coordinator. This was Ryan’s fifth year on the staff.

James Madison (FCS – VA): Sources tell FootballScoop Maine defensive backs coach Matt Birkett will be the new corners coach for Curt Cignetti at JMU. Birkett coached corners three seasons at Maine and has overseen the entire defensive backfield the past two. At Maine his primary recruiting areas were Washington DC and Southern Maryland.

Games today: Florida v Michigan (noon ET – ESPN) — South Carolina v Virginia (noon ET – ABC) — Arkansas State v Nevada (1:15 ET – CBSSN) — Notre Dame v Clemson (4pm ET – ESPN) — Oklahoma v Alabama (8pm ET – ESPN).

Western Michigan: Receivers coach Ashton Aikens and corners coach Nick Sanchez have both been let go head coach Tim Lester has announced.

Utah State: Gary Andersen’s son Keegan has now formally been announced as director of player personnel at Utah State. Keegan was on staff at Utah.

Quincy (D-II – IL): Source tells FootballScoop, University of Central Arkansas offensive assistant, Keith Barefield, has taken the offensive coordinator position at Quincy University. Barefield previously served as offensive coordinator at Southeastern University (FL) and pass game coordinator at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

Masters of Sports Administration: Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching & leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Eduction.

College of Sequoias (CC – CA): Source tells FootballScoop Raven Keene (Turlock HS) will be the new defensive coordinator for the program.
