Memphis: Source tells FootballScoop Arizona State assistant head coach / running backs John Simon is expected to join Mike Norvell’s staff at Memphis.

Oklahoma: Linebackers coach Tim Kish has announced his retirement. Kish spent 43 years in the game, the last seven at Oklahoma.

Kliff Kingsbury: Following Adam Schefter’s report USC denied the Cardinals and Jets from interviewing their offensive coordinator, Mike Florio is reporting Kliff is considering leaving USC to take the interviews. We’ve got questions.

New York Jets: Gang Green has completed its interview with former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

North Carolina: Wake Forest analyst Scott Boone is joining the staff as linebackers coach and special teams coordinator, tweets Adam Rittenberg. Boone has defensive coordinator experience at Nevada and William & Mary.

Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have completed their interview with Bruce Arians, the team has announced.

UTSA: Lousiana Tech running backs coach Tony Ball is now expected to join the staff as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, per sources, while Jeff Kastl will move to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

USC: USC has denied the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets permission to interview Kliff Kingsbury for their head coaching positions, tweets Adam Schefter.

Louisiana Tech: Running backs coach Tony Ball is no longer with the program reports BleedTechBlue.

Denver: The Broncos have completed their interview with Patriots defensive assistant Brian Flores.

Miami: Source tells FootballScoop Temple head strength coach Dave Feeley, who Manny Diaz had planned to retain there, will now join Diaz in Miami as the new head strength coach of the Canes.

West Virginia: Neal Brown’s contract at West Virginia is 6 years, totaling $19 million. Details to come….

Liberty: Source tells FootballScoop Hugh Freeze is adding Rickey Hunley to the staff as an on field defensive assistant coach (position TBD to our knowledge). Hunley (along with Liberty defensive line coach Josh Aldridge) was on defensive coordinator Scott Symons’ defensive staff at West Georgia when they were one of the best defenses in the Gulf South several years in a row. Prior to joining the staff at West Georgia, Hunley had coached at Southwest Baptist, Lindenwood, Iowa State and Drake (his alma mater).

Midwestern State University (D-II – TX): Midwestern State is currently seeking a defensive graduate assistant football coach. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, defensive back or outside linebacker. The positions include a stipend, housing, tuition assistance for graduate school. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, video editing & highlights, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Lewis & Clark (D-III – OR): Lewis & Clark College in Portland,OR is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Assistant Football Coach. Candidates that have experience coaching the offensive line will be preferred. This position is full time with benefits with a starting salary of 25k. This coach will run meetings and practice for the assigned position group and be given an assigned recruiting area. Other duties include help with hosting recruiting visits, assist coordinator with game and practice plans, data entry/editing for film and recruiting database, and assist the Head Coach and Coordinator as necessary. East Carolina: The Citadel’s special teams / recruiting coordinator JP Gunter is expected to join Mike Houston’s staff as director of player personnel reports Jeff Hartsell.

Western Colorado University (D-II): Is seeking applicants for the position of Offensive Line Coach / Run Game Coordinator to begin immediately. Previous Offensive Line Coach experience preferred. This is a full-time, 12 month position with benefits. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): recruiting specific area, assisting with practice & game planning, film breakdown, and other administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach.
