AAF: The Alliance of American Football, set to launch next Saturday, has reportedly lined up TV distribution deals that will set the league up for success — or at least a chance at success.

Indiana: New offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer will make $800,000 per year on a 2-year deal, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Dallas Cowboys: Adam Schefter tweets that owner Jerry Jones is not expected to extend the contract of head coach Jason Garrett as he enters the final year of his contract.

Green Bay Packers: The team has announced that Matt LaFleur has retained Jerry Montgomery (DL), Ben Sirmans (RBs), Jason Simmons (DBs), and they’ve promoted defensive quality control coach Ryan Downard to assistant defensive backs coach.

Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL): Special teams coordinator Craig Dickenson has been promoted to head coach. Dickenson has spent 17 seasons in the CFL, with 14 of those serving as special teams coordinator, and he previously worked as a special teams assistant for the Oakland Raiders in 2010.

Tennessee: Former Kentucky GA Michael Colosimo has joined the staff as a quality control assistant working with the offense.

Black Hills State (D-II – SD): Black Hills State University is looking for two games in 2020 (September 5th and September 12th) and 2021 (September 4th and September 11th). Interested in possible FCS guarantee game or home and home arrangement with DII or NAIA school. Interested programs can contact [email protected].

UW-Platteville (D-III): UW-Platteville is looking for a game in week #1, week #2 or week #3 of the 2020 and 2021 season. We are willing to work on details of home and away as needed. Interested programs contact Mike Emendorfer at [email protected].

Albany State (FCS – NY): Albany State has an open date Sept. 19th 2020 and Sept. 18th 2021. They are looking to play a home and home. Need to be at Home in 2020 and on the road in 2021. All interested parties please contact Gabe Giardina at [email protected].

Atlantic City (AFL – NJ): The expansion Atlantic City team of the Arena League has name Ron James head coach, Shane Stafford offensive coordinator, Sergio Gilliam defensive coordinator, Caesar Rayford defensive line coach and Brandon Lang director of player personnel.

Dallas Cowboys: Cowboys have made it official – quarterbacks coach Kellen Moore has been promoted to offensive coordinator, and Jon Kitna has joined the staff as quarterbacks coach after spending last season as the head coach at Brophy Prep (AZ).

Coaching salaries: After looking at offensive line and defensive backs, now it’s time to examine the highest-paid special teams coordinators in college football.

Mayville State (NAIA – ND): Mayville State University is looking to hire an immediate full-time head football coach. The position is fully benefited and is an 11 month contract. More information and application can be found via this link.

Green Bay Packers: Vanderbilt special teams coordinator Shawn Mennenga is joining the Packers staff as special teams coordinator, per Rob Demovsky.

Austin Peay (FCS – TN): Sources tell FootabllScoop that former Georgia Tech quarterbacks / B-Backs coach Craig Candeto has joined the staff as running backs coach and former Eastern Illinois (FCS) safeties coach Keith Scott will coach the Nickels.

Oakland Raiders: The Raiders have dismissed pro personnel director Dane Vandernat, per Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Missouri: The program has been hit with a postseason football ban by the NCAA for the 2019-20 season due to academic tutor misconduct and is facing a number of other penalties as well. Read more here.

Temple: The school has announced the additions of Steve Crutchley, Jake Landry, and Tyler Yelk as analysts for the program. All three guys previously worked with Rod Carey at Northern Illinois. Crutchley worked with the wide receivers, Landry spent the past four seasons working with the staff, starting as a graduate assistant before spending last season as running backs coach, and Yelk coached the safeties at NIU last year.

Fan Controlled Football League: A new pro football league based in Las Vegas is looking to hire coordinators. Why it’s crazy enough that it just might work.

LSU: The Tigers and Ed Orgeron are finalizing a contract extension, per report.

McMurry (D-III – TX): McMurry University in Abilene, TX is seeking a full-time assistant football coach on the defensive side of the football. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the head coach with all aspects of the football program, assist the defensive coordinator with all aspects related to defense, full-time recruiting area, academic monitoring responsibilities, special teams assignment, and other duties as assigned. This position will report to the defensive coordinator as well as the head coach. Experience coaching DB’s or LB’s will be given preference, looking to hire the best coach. Florida Tech (D-II): Per source, JB Lageman is joining the Florida Tech staff as defensive line coach. Lageman recently served as a graduate assistant at Louisville (2015-17), before moving to a defensive quality control role this past fall. He coached the outside linebackers at Concord (D-II – WV) in 2014.

Maine (FCS): Chowan (D-II – NC) defensive coordinator /  linebackers coach Kurt von Bargen has joined the staff as defensive line coach. Also, we understand  Jared Keyte will continue in his role as special teams coordinator and safeties coach, and Diamond Weaver will continue working with the corners.

Shorter (D-II – GA): Shorter University is looking to fill a graduate assistant position. Preference will be given to those that have coached on the offensive side of the ball and with video experience. The best candidate will fill the position. Oregon State: Former Northern Colorado quarterbacks coach / offensive coordinator Jon Boyer has joined the staff as a quality control coach, per Mike Singer.

Mississippi State: Deke Adams has left Memphis to become the new defensive line coach on Joe Moorhead’s staff.

Masters of Sports Administration: Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Eduction.

Defensive Backs: The highest paid defensive backs coaches in college football.

Independence CC (JC – KS): Independence Community College is seeking a full-time UNPAID assistant football coach on the offensive & defensive sides of the football coaching WRs/RB’s, and DB’s/DL. These are entry level coaching positions which offer housing and meals and a great opportunity to learn the college game. If someone is interested in learning how to become an offensive analyst please apply. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the head coach with all aspects of the football program, full-time recruiting area, academic monitoring responsibilities, special teams assignment, assisting with community service and fundraising, along with other duties as assigned. This position will report to the defensive coordinator as well as the head coach. Experience playing or coaching is going to be a deciding factor in determining the successful candidate for this position. The successful candidate must pass a background check.
