Kansas: Former Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long has been formally announced as the new athletic director at Kansas. He’ll be the second highest paid AD in the Big 12.

Western lllinois (FCS): Northwestern graduate assistant Erik Frazier will be the new wide receivers coach, per source. Frazier previously coached the wide receivers at Dayton (FCS – OH) in 2016 and Delaware Valley (D-III) in 2014-15.
Finlandia (D-III – MI): Corey Bell joined the staff as pass game coordinator / quarterbacks coach / wide receivers coach and defensive coordinator DJ Pirkle has been promoted to assistant head coach.
Montana Tech (NAIA): Montana Tech has an immediate opening for an offensive intern coaching position and are reopening the search. Primary responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all phases of the football program as well as other duties assigned by the coaching staff which may include coaching a position group. Must be proficient in using Hudl Video Editor, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with film breakdown and data entry is a must. A small monthly stipend will be provided as well as a portion of housing. This is an entry level position. College playing experience and/or previous coaching experience is preferred. Merrimack College (D-II – MA): Merrimack College has two immediate openings for an offensive and defensive restricted assistant coaching positions. Successful candidates will coach their own position, run positional meetings, assist with special teams, and have his own recruiting territory. Polynesian Bowl: Former Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti and former Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn have been announced as the head coaches for the 2019 Polynesian Bowl. The game will be played Saturday, Jan. 19 at Honolulu’s Aloha Stadium and televised on CBS Sports Network.
Avila (NAIA – MO): Avila University is seeking an offensive graduate assistant coach. The candidate must have quarterback playing or quarterback coaching experience. This is a 12-month coaching job that includes tuition to graduate school, a $7,000 stipend, and possibly housing. Responsibilities will include: coaching the quarterback position, assisting with weekly scouting, game planning, film-breakdown, recruiting, and other tasks assigned by the head coach. Doane (NAIA – NE): Doane University, invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach at its nationally recognized undergraduate campus in Crete, Nebraska. This is a full-time, 12 month position. The Assistant Football Coach will coach a position assigned by the Head Football Coach and will coordinate a component of the Doane University Football Team depending on experience of hire. Experience coaching OL, LB or DB, depending on the best candidate. This position is responsible for student athlete recruitment and retention and is an integral part of the Doane University Football Coaching Staff. Doane University is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), as a part of the NAIA Qualifications/Education/Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. · Prior college coaching experience preferred. Ability to cooperate and work within a coaching staff and ability to work with and teach young people. Individual must possess an intricate technical knowledge of football along with a solid understanding of offensive and defensive football schemes. Franklin (D-III – IN): Franklin College, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, invites applications for an assistant football and track coach. The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of each sport, including skill development, recruiting and other duties assigned by the head coach. Specific coaching responsibilities will be defense (football) and throws events (track). Requirements: bachelor’s degree, collegiate competitive and/or coaching experience. Compensation for this 10-month, part-time position includes stipend, undergraduate tuition remission, room and board. Additional part-time employment on/near campus is possible. Navarro (JC – TX): Navarro College is looking to hire an offensive intern. The best candidate will be hired but preference will be given to applicants with blocking instruction experience and defensive breakdown experience. The position is UNPAID. The intern position does provide housing and a meal plan. The offensive intern will assist in game planning, coaching a position and all other tasks given by the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.
