Virginia: UVA is no longer accepting applicants for the on-campus recruiting coordinator job and recruiting assistant positions. Thanks for the overwhelming interest in the positions.

Washington: Washington president Ana Mari Cauce confirmed to the Seattle Times that a raise is incoming for AD Jennifer Cohen. Cohen is currently the lowest-paid Power 5 AD with a $460,000 salary plus a $60,000 annual retention bonus.

Southern Arkansas (D-II): Per source, Chad Adams has been hired as the new defensive coordinator for the program. Adams spent the past two seasons at Southeastern University (NAIA – FL) as defensive coordinator.

NCAA: The NCAA is moving forward with a proposal that would end coaches’ ability to limit where plays can or cannot transfer.

Dabo Swinney: Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave a powerful talk, along the lines of what advice he would give his 16 year old self. “Jesus is the true hope of the world.”

Missouri State (FCS): Per source, Southern Arkansas (D-II) defensive coordinator Trent Figg has taken the running backs job at Missouri State.

Southwest Oklahoma State (D-II): Chris Stutzriem has been added to the staff as offensive line coach after spending the past two seasons as the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Rocky Mountain College (NAIA – MT). Stutzriem replaces Jon Wiemers, who left to become the head coach at Arkansas City HS (KS).

Thomas More (NAIA – KY): Thomas MoreCollege, which was originally a Division III school, has been accepted into the NAIA ranks, per source.

Mississippi Valley State (FCS): Mississippi Valley State University is currently seeking a defensive graduate assistant football coach. The positions includes tuition assistance for graduate school with the possibility of a meal plan.  NO STIPEND or housing. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, defensive backs. Experience playing and coaching defensive backs is preferred. Other responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, recruiting own area assigned by recruiting coordinator, video editing & highlights, video upload, film breakdown, proficient in Microsoft Office, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Arkansas Tech (D-II): Arkansas Tech has an opening for a defensive intern working with the defensive line. The position is unpaid. Responsibilities include developing scouting reports, film breakdown, weekly practice preparation, and any assignments delegated by the defensive coordinator and head coach. Mary Hardin-Baylor: Head coach Pete Fredenburg has been suspended without pay and will miss the first three games of this upcoming season.

Christopher Newport (VA): McNeil Parker is the new defensive coordinator at CNU. Parker served as defensive coordinator at The Peddie School in New Jersey the last two years, and prior to that, was on staff at Lafayette.
