#StaffTracker: A one stop page where you can keep track of how the new head coaches are filling their staffs. FBS – FCS – D-II

Green Bay Packers: Former Wake Forest, Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell has interviewed for the Packers head coaching job, tweets Pro Football Talk. Additionally, former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has also interviewed, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

App State: La Tech special teams coordinator Erik Link is joining Eli Drinkwitz’ staff in the same capacity.

Mike McCarthy: Peter King writes that, if a coaching change were to take place with the Arizona Cardinals and Steve Wilks parting ways after one season, there is a mutual interest between former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy and the Cardinals.

Michigan: Former Central Michigan head coach John Bonamego is working with the Michigan staff as a “consultant” for their Peach Bowl game, Nick Baumgardner tweets.

Colorado School of Mines (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop Montana Tech offensive coordinator Pete Sterbick has accepted the same role at Colorado School of Mines. Prior to joining the Montana Tech staff for the 2014 season, Sterbick served as head coach at McPherson College two seasons and as offensive coordinator at Grand View University (IA) four seasons prior to that.

East Coast Prep (Postgrad – MA): East Coast Prep is seeking four assistant coaches for the 2019 season. ECP plays a very competitive schedule against Division I JV, Junior Colleges and other top Postgraduate programs and have placed over 120 players into College programs in 4 years. You will coach your own position and be assigned off field duties by the head coach. This is a 4 month position, mid August to mid December. Position includes room and board and a stipend. Stipend based on experience. We are looking for college experience. Interviews will be conducted at the AFCA convention in San Antonio on January 7th and 8th. These candidates will be at the top of my list. Other arrangements after the convention are possible based on your background and situation as well if positions are still available! Please email your resume to [email protected] no later than January 3rd, 2019! No phone calls please

NC State: With Dwayne Ledford fully on board at Louisville, source tells FootballScoop offensive line grad assistant Shawn Flaherty will coach the offensive line for the Gator Bowl.

Louisville: As we mention below, 247 is now also reporting that the report linking Wisconsin running backs coach John Settle and Louisville is not accurate and that there has been no contact between the two.

Navy: Sources tell FootballScoop Kennesaw State linebackers coach PJ Volker is expected to follow Brian Newberry to Navy as well. Prior to joining the Kennesaw State staff before the 2017 season, Volker had coached with Trent Miles at Georgia State and Indiana State.

Liberty: RJ Fleming, who played for Hugh Freeze at Arkansas State, is joining the staff in an offensive quality control role, source tells FootballScoop. Fleming recently served as an offensive graduate assistant at TCU.

Michigan: Ben McDaniels, who was promoted from an analyst role to the interim receivers coach following the departure of Jim McElwain to Central Michigan’s head coaching job, is expected to become the new full-time receivers coach, Jim Harbaugh shared with reporters at their Peach Bowl press conference.

Louisville: Wisconsin running backs coach John Settle is set to join the Louisville staff, per a report from Tyler Rash. Rash, covers App State, adds, as others have reported as well, that former USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin will be joining the staff this coming week as well. Update> Source FootballScoop heard from regarding this report said this report is premature. “No decisions have been made.” We’ll keep you posted.

Scoop’Em Up: Back by popular demand, the best way to get your name in front of nearly every coach in the profession. Know a coach who deserves a mention? Scoop’Em Up is a great way to highlight outstanding coaches who perhaps aren’t receiving the recognition they deserve, to remind everyone about some great coaches who are currently looking to advance or for some who are simply are looking to get their foot in the door, or get back in the game. Interested candidates can email resumes (with references) and short writeup of what you’d like coaches to know about you to [email protected], and please include a write up (similar to the one above) and include “Scoop’Em Up” in the subject line.
