North Carolina: Arkansas State special teams coordinator / outside receivers coach Luke Paschall has accepted a job on the UNC staff, AStateNation tweets.

Wisconsin: Former Buffalo Bills linebackers coach Bobby April III has been hired as outside linebackers coach, completing Paul Chryst’s on-the-field staff.

Buffalo Bills: University of Alabama offensive analyst Shea Tierney is joining the Bills as an offensive assistant, per source.

Harvard (FCS – MA): Andy Marino, who coached the offensive line at Lehigh last season, has now been announced as the new offensive line coach for the Crimson.

San Diego (FCS): As mentioned below, receivers coach Christian Taylor is moving to co-OC / quarterbacks and offensive line coach Jim Jackson is also adding co-OC title source tells FootballScoop.

New Mexico State: We are no longer accepting applications for the defensive backs grad assistant position. We appreciate all of the interest.

Texas Tech: Source tells FootballScoop Washington State offensive line coach Clay McGuire is leaving to go back to his alma mater Texas Tech as running backs coach. Prior to joining Mike Leach’s staff at Washington State McGuire coached running backs at both East Carolina and Texas Tech.

Michigan: Ed Warinner’s contract to serve as senior offensive analyst is two years at $250,000 per year tweets Aaron McMann.

Pac-12: A first-year Pac-12 head coach shares some important recruiting advice to keep in mind for in-home visits.

Belhaven (D-III – MS): Per source, Itawamba CC (JC – MS) offensive line coach Scott Smouse has resigned to become the offensive coordinator at Belhaven.

Virginia Tech: Justin Fuente notes that 10th assistant Adam Lechetenberg will serve as a GM of sorts with the Hokies program, adding that “nobody knows the roster better”.

SMU: Randall Joyner has been hired coach the defensive ends after spending the past two seasons at Ohio State as a graduate assistant working with the defensive line.

Arizona Cardinals: Per sources, Alonso Escalante has accepted a defensive quality job with the Cardinals and will work with the nickels. Escalante spent the past two seasons as an offensive assistant with the Giants.

Josh McDaniels: Agent Bob LaMonte, who represents both McDaniels and and Colts GM Chris Ballard as well as a number of other well known coaches and front office personnel, is terminating his relationship with McDaniels, per ESPN.

Herm Edwards: Herm nailed the difference between the draft and signing day.

University of San Diego (FCS): With offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand headed to Michigan, sources tell FootballScoop Dale Lindsey plans to fill the role from within the staff (logically receivers coach Christian Taylor). Additionally, we expect tight ends coach Ronnie Pentz to move to receivers. We hear Lindsay knows how he plans to fill tight ends as well.

Tennessee Titans: Ohio State defensive grad assistant Ryan Crow has accepted a position with the Titans source tells FootballScoop. Crow works with the linebackers at Ohio State. Before joining the Ohio State staff, Crow coached offensive line at Baldwin Wallace for three seasons and worked with the OL at Purdue before that as well. We hear Crow will be on the defensive side of the staff with the Titans.

Indianapolis Colts: New Orleans Saints associate head coach/tight ends coach Dan Campbell will interview for the Colts head job, according to NFL Network. Campbell coached 12 games as the Miami Dolphins’ interim head coach in 2015. Adam Schefter adds that Campbelll will interview Thursady, while Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich will interview of Friday.

SMU: Graduate assistant Chris Scott, Jr., has been promoted to a quality control role, sources tell FootballScoop.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Defensive backs coach Carnell Lake has left the team to return to California and spend more time with his family, according to a tweet from Adam Schefter.

Simon Fraser (D-II – British Columbia, Canada): Simon Fraser has an immediate opening for a seasonal defensive line coach.  This is a stipend only position with no housing or benefits.  Ideal candidates will have collegiate coaching experience and will be available for spring practice that begins 2/26/18.  Local candidates, Canadian citizens, or permanent residence are strongly encouraged to apply.  Please email resume, cover letter, and references to Head Coach [email protected].

Fairmont State (D-II – WV): With Greg Richmond leaving to become the 10th assistant at Oklahoma State, sources tell us Ramal Faunteroy has been hired as defensive line coach. He was the defensive line coach and run game coordinator at Seton Hill in 2017, coached the defensive line at Furman in 2016, and served as the defensive line coach at Shepherd from 2009-15.

Georgia: In addition to Scott Fountain as we reported this morning, source tells FootballScoop Vanderbilt receivers coach Cortez Hankton is joining Kirby Smart’s staff as well. Hankton, a New Orleans native, coached three seasons at Dartmouth before joining the staff at Vanderbilt before the 2015 season.

Ohio State: Urban Meyer noted at his signing day presser today that he will sign a contract extension at Ohio State “soon.”

Indianapolis Colts: Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich is expected to draw an interview request for the head coaching job, according to NFL Network. Adam Schefter has also said the Colts could take another look at Baylor head coach Matt Rhule.

Detroit Lions: The Lions have announced that Paul Pasqualoni will be the team’s defensive coordinator as well as the additions of Jeff Davidson (OL), George Godsey (QBs), Al Golden (LBs), Brian Stewart (DBs), Chris White (TEs), and Ole Miss Senior player personnel assistant David Corrao as director of football research.

Michigan: As we, and others, have previously reported Allen Gant is joining the staff and Jordan Strack tweets that he’ll work with the outside linebacker and Vipers under Al Washington in a graduate assistant role.

BYU: AJ Steward has been announced as running backs coach. Steward previously coached the running backs at Rice.

Alabama State: Head coach Donald Hill-Eley has announced a few additions to his staff. Florida A&M special teams coordinator Roderick Plummer has joined the staff as running backs coach and special teams coordinator, Justin Keown (who coached the tight ends and S-Backs at Troy) will coach the offensive line, Jaquon Robinson (who coached at Dinwiddie HS in Virginia last season as the passing game coordinator) will coach the inside wide receivers, and Bre’nard Williams, Jon Harrelson, Same Lazarus, and Tavaris Jackson have been added to the staff as quality control coaches. Also, Michael Medcalf is joining the team as the “flexibility coach.”

Cleveland Browns: Georgia State corners coach Sam Shade is joining the Browns staff, a source tells FootballScoop. Shade previously served as the special teams coach and defensive passing game coordinator at Samford (FCS – AL), and also spent eight seasons in the NFL as a defensive back with the Bengals and Redskins.

Georgia: Sources tell FootballScoop that Scott Fountain is leaving Mississippi State and heading back to Georgia. Fountain had joined Joe Moorehead’s staff back in January as special teams coordinator after serving in an off-field capacity at UGA last season.

Houston Texans: D’Anton Lynn, the son of Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn, is joining the Texans staff as an assistant defensive backs coach, according to a tweet from Mike Garafolo.

Shorter (D-II – GA): Per source, Shorter has made the following hires; Chad Creamer (DC / LBs), Reilly Murphy (assistant head coach / OC / QBs), Kelsey Pope (RBs), Nic Workman (DL / recruiting coordinator), Wil Robinson (DBs), and Blake Robles (graduate assistant).

Report:  At least 36 Georgia HS coaches make $100,000 or more

Boston College: Per source, BC is hiring Bill Sheridan to coach the linebackers. Sheridan has coached linebackers for the Giants, Dolphins, and Lions dating back to 2005, and served as defensive coordinator with the Giants (2009) and Tampa Bay Bucs (2012-13).

Alabama: Last night a report surfaced that Nick Saban is expected to promoted co-defensive coordinator / outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi to defensive coordinator. More details on that here.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts head coaching job is officially still open after Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had a change of heart last night and decided to stay in New England. Read more on the situation here.

UW-Platteville (D-III): University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking applicants for an assistant football coach (Defensive Coordinator). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong communication skills, organizational efficiency, outstanding character, and leadership qualities a must. The successful candidate will coordinate the defense, coach his own position, run positional meetings, weekly game plan, film breakdown, and have his own recruiting area. LA Chargers: Rip Scherer, who previously coached the tight ends at UCLA, is joining the Chargers staff as tight ends coach, Bruce Feldman tweets.
