LSU: Passing game coordinator Jerry Sullivan announced his retirement from football this evening. “Jerry had a great career, one that saw him develop, groom, mentor and train some of the best to ever play the wide receiver position at any level of football,” Ed Orgeron said. “I can’t thank Jerry enough for the contributions he made to our program over the past two years.”

North Carolina: Source tells FootballScoop Mack Brown is adding both Sparky Woods and Darrell Moody to the staff. That is some significant football knowledge right there. Woods will be leaving the staff at Richmond where he serves as running backs / co-special teams coordinator. Over his 40 year career, Woods has served as head coach at VMI, App State and South Carolina and as an assistant at Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi State, Memphis and more. Moody, who played quarterback at NC State, spent much of his career in North Carolina including a healthy run as offensive coordinator during the 90s. Moody coached at App State, NC State, Tulane, LSU, Southern Miss and more. After a long run at UNC, in 2002 Moody became an NFL scout and did so for 15+ years with the Chargers, Bills and 49ers.

New York Jets: Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains is expected to follow Adam Gase to New York, “barring any contractual snags”, reports Jeff Darlington.

Troy: Source tells FootballScoop Troy is expected to make Chip Lindsey their new head coach.

New York Jets: The Jets are hiring former Dolphins head coach Adam Gase per multiple reports. Jeff Darlington adds the deal is expected to be finalized late tonight or tomorrow. Details here.

South Florida: Valdosta State head coach Kerwin Bell will be Charlie Strong’s new offensive coordinator reports Alison Posey.

Baylor: Asked if he was taking the Jets job, Matt Rhule told KCEN-TV’s Jessica Morrey, “I’m still in Waco.” Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports Rhule isn’t leaving. He reportedly was a candidate for the Jets’ job.

Orlando Apollos (AAF): Steve Spurrier is hiring Lito Shepard to coach the defensive backs, per Pat Dooley.

Cleveland Browns: Receivers coach Adam Henry is being retained tweets Tony Grossi. Among those not retained include: Gregg Williams, Blake Williams, Amos Jones, Jerod Kruse, Bob Saunders, Greg Seamon, Bob Wylie, Mark Hutson, Ken Zampese and Eric Sanders.

Oregon: A former player is suing Willie Taggart, Irele Oderinde, Oregon and the NCAA for $11.5 million. More on the situation here.

Appalachian State: Source tells FootballScoop Louisiana Tech offensive grad assistant Kegan McDaniel has accepted an offensive analyst role at App State.

Air Force: Air Force has announced Terrance Jamison as their new defensive line coach. Jamison spent the past two seasons coaching defensive line at Texas Tech.

Denver Broncos: Klint Kubiak is under “strong consideration” to remain on staff with a promotion to quarterbacks coach, per Mike Klis of 9Sports in Denver.

Bodie Reeder: Kyle Boone who covers Oklahoma State football reports Bodie might not wind up at Oklahoma State. Stay tuned….

Northern Arizona (FCS): Delta State defensive coordinator Jerry Partridge will join the NAU staff in the same capacity.

Maine (FCS): New head coach Nick Charlton has announced Pat Denecke as assistant head coach / run game coordinator / offensive line and Justin Flores as receivers / recruiting coordinator. Dean Petzing will serve as tight ends coach.

Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have hired Denver offensive line coach Sean Kugler.

Atlanta Falcons: Adam Schefter reports the Falcons have hired Ben Kotwica as special teams coordinator.

Georgia Tech: Patrick Suddes has been announced as Georgia Tech’s new general manager.

Oklahoma State: As per his contract, Mike Gundy has now been extended through 2023 with a $125,000 annual escalator. He will now make $5.125 million in 2019.

Akron: Tom Arth has announced the hirings of Matt Feeney (defensive coordinator), Scott Aligo (player personnel), Brian Cochran (defensive line), Chris Cook (tight ends/offensive tackles), Shelton Felton (inside linebackers), Chris Hurd (special teams coordinator), Oscar Rodriguez, Jr. (secondary), Davern Williams (outside linebackers/defensive ends), and Tommy Zagorski (offensive line). DFO Ben Murphy has been retained.

Arizona Cardinals: Sources tell us Jake Spavital will not take a job on Kliff Kingsbury’s Cardinals staff and will remain Texas State’s head coach.

Cleveland Browns: Quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese will not be on Freddie Kitchens’ staff moving forward, per Zac Jackson of The Athletic.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Bruce Arians has confirmed Byron Leftwich as his offensive coordinator and Todd Bowles as his defensive coordinator. Each will call plays on his side of the ball.

New York Jets: Multiple reports, including Rich Cimini of ESPN, are connecting Baylor head coach Matt Rhule to the Jets’ opening. This one could play out soon, so stay tuned.

Arkansas State: Sources tell FootballScoop Buster Faulkner has stepped down and is considering other optionsA-State has announced Keith Heckendorf as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

AFCA: AFCA executive director Todd Berry laid out the organization’s 2019 legislative agenda on Wednesday, starting with fixing the targeting rule.

Independence CC (KS): Independence Community College has an immediate opening for a Special Teams Coordinator with either DB or RB experience. The new hire will be responsible for coaching their own position, Coordinate the entire Special Teams, run Team Meetings, and positional meetings, assist with all other duties assigned by the Head Coach, and create the weekly game plan. Bachelor’s Degree required along with college coaching and/or playing experience. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and have recruiting experience. Compensation package based on experience. The position does offer housing and meals, but we prefer the coach to be single. Experience with football computer and video software such as DVSPORT and HUDL, is highly encouraged. Texas: Tom Herman plans to retain Stan Drayton (running backs), Drew Mehringer (wide receivers), Derek Warehime (tight ends), Oscar Giles (defensive line), Jason Washington (corners), Craig Naivar (safeties/special teams) and Corby Meekins (wide receivers), tweets Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods. Each coach’s contract is set to expire on March 31.

Navarro College (JC – TX): Scott Parr is returning as Navarro’s head coach.

Tennessee: Jim Chaney has a 3-year contract starting at $1.5 million and rising to $1.7 million. He’ll be college football’s second-highest paid offensive coordinator in 2019.

Arizona Cardinals: Kliff Kingsbury is interested in bringing Texas State head coach Jake Spavital and Texas State defensive coordinator Zac Spavital with him to Phoenix. We understand no deal is done at this time. Stay tuned to this one.

Denver Broncos: Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will be the Broncos’ new head coach, according to multiple reports.

Minnesota Vikings: After missing out on the Cleveland job, Kevin Stefanski is returning to Minnesota as offensive coordinator, per Adam Schefter.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns are set to announced Freddie Kitchens as their new head coach later today, according to Chris Mortensen. On Kitchens’ incredible rise to the top job on the market. Also, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been relieved of duties, according to ESPN.

Tennessee: Tennessee has officially announced Jim Chaney as its offensive coordinator. “Jim has proven to be a great mentor of young men, and I’m excited to have him here at Tennessee,” Jeremy Pruitt said.

Georgia Tech: Auburn assistant AD for football Patrick Suddes is leaving to take a similar post on Geoff Collins’ Georgia Tech staff, according to Auburn Undercover.

Western Michigan: Former William & Mary defensive coordinator Trevor Andrews is joining the WMU staff as linebackers coach, per source.

Arizona State: Shaun Aguano is leaving his post as Chandler (AZ) High School’s head coach to become the running backs coach at Arizona State, according to Sun Devil Source.

South Carolina: New running backs coach Thomas Brown has been approved for a 2-year contract at $300,000 annually, and offensive line coach Eric Wolford has netted a 3-year extension with a $400,000 base salary and $300,000 in outside compensation.

FIU: Per source, FIU director of recruiting/offensive assistant Bryn Renner is being promoted to defensive backs coach.

Colorado: Al Pupunu is joining the staff as tight ends coach after spending the past two seasons in the same role at Weber State, according to Buff Stampede.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Harold Godwin is indeed joining the staff as assistant head coach and run game coordinator, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Colorado State: Mike Bobo has declined a $100,000 raise after the Rams’ 3-9 season.

Missouri Southern State (D-II): Missouri Southern State University has a restricted earnings position – benefits included quarterback coaching position available send resume to [email protected]. The job begins immediately.

Sacramento State (FCS): Head coach Troy Taylor has announced his inaugural coaching staff — Kris Richardson (assistant head coach/offensive line), Bobby Fresques (quarterbacks), Jeremy LePan (tight ends/special teams), James Montgomery (running backs), Andy Thompson (defensive coordinator/linebackers), Will Plemons (defensive line), Allen Brown (cornerbacks), Sam Cole (safeties). Chris Parry will be the director of recruiting and player development, and Taylor will be his own offensive coordinator.

Arkansas-Monticello (D-II): The University of Arkansas at Monticello is searching for Graduate Assistant, coaching the wide receivers. If interested email Resume and References to Coach Marcus Hill  [email protected].

Reedley College (JC-CA): Reedley College is looking to fill two openings for assistant coaches on staff (one on Offense and one on Defense).   We are looking for the best possible LOCAL candidates in the greater Fresno / Central Valley area.  These assistant coaches will responsible for coaching a position, running their own positional meetings, and given significant recruiting duties. The stipend is approximately $5,000 and comes with no other benefits or classes (we cannot get you a job on campus).  Applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree and three years of coaching experience or associates degree and five years of coaching experience. North Dakota State (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Matt Entz plans to hire Northern Iowa assistant David Braun as his new defensive coordinator.

Missouri: Source tells FootballScoop Brian Odom has turned down the opportunity to join Oklahoma’s staff and will remain at Missouri.

Oklahoma State: Per source, Eastern Washington offensive coordinator Bodie Reeder has been offered a position at Oklahoma State and is expected to join Mike Gundy’s staff.

North Dakota State (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Rutgers offensive line coach AJ Blazek has stepped down and plans to join the staff at NDSU in the same capacity.

Tampa Bay Bucs: The club has formally announced Bruce Arians as their new head coach. Alex Marvez reports Kacy Rodgers is joining the staff and defensive line coach Brenston Buckner will not return. Rodgers was the defensive coordinator under incoming Tampa Bay defensive coordinator and former Jets head coach Todd Bowles. Arians has signed a 4-year contract with a fifth year option, per Ian Rapoport. Rapoport also adds Arians wants to hire Harold Goodwin as offensive line coach and run game coordinator, Byron Leftwich as pass game coordinator and Clyde Christianson as quarterbacks coach.

George Fox (D-III – OR): George Fox is looking to fill 1 of the following dates for the 2019 season with a DIII opponent: September 14/ September 28th (Weeks 2 & 4). New York Jets: Todd Monken has completed his interview for the head job.

Atlanta Falcons: Mike Mularkey will be the Falcons’ new tight ends coach, according to Jordan Schultz of ESPN.

Hawaii: Nick Rolovich has agreed to a 2-year extension.

Ellsworth Community College (IA): Mitchell Kleinschrodt has been announced as Ellsworth’s head coach. He was previously the director of recruiting at New Mexico and the offensive coordinator at Upper Iowa.

Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA): We are no longer accepting applicants for the offensive line job. Thanks for the overwhelming interest in the position.

Madonna (NAIA – MI): Sources tell FootballScoop that Matt Wright has accepted the offensive coordinator job on the new Madonna staff. Wright preciously coaches at Austin Peay and Lindsey Wilson. We understand Wright will also coach the quarterbacks.

Texas Tech: Joe Lorig has been formally announced as special teams coordinator.

Montana State (FCS): Per source, Ty Gregorak has resigned as Montana State’s defensive coordinator.

Central Michigan: Ryan Beard, former linebackers coach and co-special teams coordinator at Louisville and former defensive backs coach for Jeff Brohm has been hired at Central Michigan as safeties coach and special teams coordinator, source tells FootballScoop.
