Washington Redskins: Offensive line coach Bill Callahan has added the title of assistant head coach, Chad Grimm will move from quality control assistant to outside linebackers coach, and Bret Munsey will be the assistant special teams coach.
USC: Bryan Ellis has joined the staff as an offensive administrative assistant. Ellis is the former wide receivers coach at Western Kentucky, where he spent three years.
Southwest Baptist (D-II – MO): Southwest Baptist University is looking to fill open dates in the 2017 season. Open dates in 2017 on October 21st & November 4th. Will consider all options. Please contact Head Coach Robert Clardy at [email protected].
Virginia University of Lynchburg: Virginia University of Lynchburg is looking for games on the following open dates; September 2nd,September 9th, September 16th, September 23rd, and November 11th to complete our schedule. Westminster College (D-III – MO): Westminster College has hired Tom O’Donnell as their new offensive coordinator. O’Donnell joins the program after spending the past few seasons at Lindenwood-Belleville (NAIA – IL), first as the linebackers coach, then as defensive line coach before serving as the interim head coach this past winter. Prior to that, he was the special teams coordinator at Millikin (D-III – IL).
Scoop him up: Steve Broussard, a 9 year veteran of the NFL, has an outstanding resume with some top notch coaches at really good programs. Past coaching stops for Broussard include Portland State (RBs), Washington State (RBs / STC), Arizona State (WRs / Recruiting Coordinator), UCLA, and SMU. Broussard has directly coached a number of All Americans and standouts at the college level including Johnathan Franklin and Myles Jack (UCLA), and Chris Ivory (Washington State). During his coaching career, Broussard has had an opportunity to build relationships with June Jones, Jim Mora Jr., Tim Walsh, and Bill Doba, among a number of others. Augustana (D-II – SD): Augustana University is no longer accepting applications for their defensive coordinator position. Thank you for the overwhelming response.
Pace University (D-II – NY): Pace University (DII – NY) has an opening for a graduate assistant position. Position allows for 18 credits / year, housing, books and a meal plan. There is a possibility of hourly part time work in the athletic department to supplement. Position will coach running backs. Position is intended to recruit a primary area in our recruiting footprint. Position will have additional responsibilities within the football program in addition to coaching and recruiting. The responsibilities and value of this position is very much that of a “full time” position. Applicants should have experience playing college football and/or previous coaching experience. Class for this position will begin in June but the preferred applicant will be available before June. Applicants will have to apply and be admitted to one of multiple graduate programs available at Pace University, Pleasantville, NY. Washington Redskins: Chris O’Hara has joined the organization as an offensive quality control assistant. O’Hara spent the past three seasons with the Jaguars, most recently as an offensive coaching associate.
Southern University (FCS – Baton Rouge, LA): Arkansas Pine Bluff (FCS) wide receivers coach Mark Frederick is the new wide receivers coach at Southern, per source. Frederick previously coached at Southern and is an alum.
Limestone College (D-II – SC): Brian Turk has been hired as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator,, per source. Turk previously served as the director of recruiting / offense at South Carolina and spent a total of five seasons on staff.
Upper Iowa (D-II): Upper Iowa is accepting applicants for a quarterbacks coach. Duties include: recruitment of skilled and academically qualified student-athletes and monitoring academic progress and eligibility. Assist in the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating practices sessions along with development, implementation, and evaluation of game plans and strategies. EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred. Minimum of three (3) years coaching experience in intercollegiate football or related experience.
