Longwood (D-I – VA): Interim AD Michelle Meadows has been named the Lancers’ full-time AD.
Emporia State (D-II – KS): Emporia State is accepting applications for two Quality Control Positions, one working on the Defensive Side of the Football and one working within Football Operations / Recruiting. These positions are both UNPAID but will provide experience working within a Division II Football Program. Responsibilities include; assisting with a Defensive Position / Working along-side the recruiting coordinator on a daily basis, practice and scout team organizations, on-campus recruiting visits, managing of social media accounts, in addition to other responsibilities designated by the head coach. Experience with Hudl, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Photo Shop, video editing, etc. is preferred. Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree program. Must have a valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background check. This position does not provide any stipend, benefits, or housing. XFL Dallas: Daryl “Moose” Johnston will join XFL Dallas as director of player personnel. He was the general manager of the AAF’s San Antonio Commanders.
FOX Sports: Brock Huard is leaving ESPN to become the No. 2 analyst on FOX’s college football coverage, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
NY Jets: The Jets have fired GM Mike Mccagnan and Adam Schefter shares that VP of player personnel Brian Heimerdinger has also been relieved of his duties. In the interim, the Jets share that head coach Adam Gase will be the acting GM. Multiple reports link Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas to the GM position, as he and Gase previously worked together when they both were with the Bears. Schefter also added that NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah is “under serious consideration for a prominent front-office position.”
Michigan State: Mark Dantonio has had a year added to his contract, and a number of assistants have received raises – including one that may be one of the best bargains in college football. Read more here.
Coffeyville CC (JC – KS): Coffeyville Community College has an immediate opening for an entry-level restricted earnings position coaching the quarterbacks or wide receivers. The position includes housing, meals, and health insurance with the ability to earn more money through the dorms. College playing or coaching experience preferred. Hudl experience preferred.
