Salt Lake City (Alliance of American Football): Dennis Erickson has been announced as the new head coach of the Salt Lake City franchise of the Alliance of American Football
Duke: David Cutcliffe earned $2.54 million in 2016, according to tax documents obtained by USA Today’s Steve Berkowitz. AD Kevin White earned $1.5 million.

Wisconsin: Raises and new contracts for a number of returning assistants have added up to an increase in the salary pool of $1,261,866 for the Badgers staff according to Jeff Potrykus. Worth noting are raises for special teams coordinator Chris Haering who will make $425k after making $250k last season, tight ends coach Mickey Turner will now make $175k (an increase of $50k), inside linebackers coach Bob Bostad will make $375k (up $75k from last season), defensive line coach Inoke Breckterfield will make $400k (a bump of $185k), running backs coach John Settle will now make $375k (a raise of $155k) and wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore will make $400k (a raise of $135k). Bobby April, who joined the staff officially in early February, will make $300k as the outside linebackers coach and new quarterbacks Jon Budmayr will earn $150k.

Notre Dame: The Irish paid defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder a buyout of at least $256,000 after letting him go following a 1-3 start to the 2016 season, according to the Indy Star. The article adds that Brian Kelly’s base salary increased from $900k to $1.2 million as well in 2016, and his bonus pay also rose from $450k to $600k.
Bluffton (D-III – OH): Bluffton University is seeking applications for an assistant football coach / defensive line. The assistant football coach is a 12 month position which reports to the head football coach and director of athletics. The assistant is responsible for the following; Daily implementation of academic monitoring/mentoring, on field position coach, recruiting both on and off campus in accordance with university, HCAC and NCAA policies and procedures, video/academic support for assigned position players, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications for this position includes; Bachelor’s Degree, minimum of 2 years of experience in collegiate football. Defensive line experience is preferred. USC: Former athletic director Pat Haden made $2.8 million in total pay in 2016. That year he served as AD through June before transitioning as a special advisor to the school president, Steve Berkowitz tweets. He also adds that from 2011 through 2016, Haden made $15.7 million.

Grinnell (D-III – IA): Grinnell College is seeking applications for a part-time term assistant football coach. This is a 10 month position that will pay $15K with no benefits. The assistant will be responsible for coaching a position group (preferably offense), breaking down film, and assisting in creating a weekly scouting report. Concordia Chicago (D-III – IL): Concordia University Chicago is looking for a graduate assistant football coach to work with the defensive backs. Interested candidate needs to have experience playing or coaching DB’s. This position will be responsible for coaching the defensive backs as well as other duties assigned by the head coach. The position comes with a stipend and graduate classes paid for, no housing is available. You will need a 3.0 GPA to get admitted to school. Carroll (D-III – WI): Carroll University in Waukesha, WI has a 10 month intern coaching position to fill, start date of August 2018. The position will coach DB’s and will also be involved with special teams and strength & conditioning. Experience in recruiting and strength & conditioning is preferred. Methodist (D-III – NC): Methodist University is accepting applications for multiple Part-Time football coaches at this NCAA DIII institution and proud member of the USA South Athletic Conference. Positions will run from July 15th 2018 until April 26th, 2019. A Bachelor’s degree is required and compensation is paid at an hourly rate for a total earnings of $10,000 with no benefits, however on campus housing will be provided. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coaching your own JV position, helping coach a Varsity position, recruiting, academic support, video, equipment control and assisting the Head Coach in all phases of the program. Preferred coaching positions and experiences include, WR’s, RB’s and/or OL and LB’s and/or DL. Also anyone with Graphic Design, Video Editing (Adobe Premiere) or IT background experience will be strongly considered. Itasca CC (JC – MN): Itasca Community College invites applicants to submit resumes to the program’s assistant coaching pool. There could be openings prior to the 2018 season. Applicants should expect these to be VOLUNTEER positions with no guaranteed housing, meals, or stipend.
