FAU: Sources tell FootballScoop Lane Kiffin is making at change at defensive coordinator.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Rocky Mountain College head coach Jason Petrino will be the new defensive coordinator at Southern Illinois.

Kliff Kingsbury: LA Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed tonight that he reached out to Kliff to gauge his interest in joining the Rams; adding that Kliff continues to evaluate options.

Texas State: Jake Spavital confirmed on local radio today that Bob Stitt will call plays for the Bobcats.

Rocky Mountain College (NAIA – MT): The school has announced head coach Jason Petrino has left Rocky for a Division I assistant coaching position. “Our goal is to have a new head football coach hired and in place in seven to 10 days,” said RMC Executive Vice President Brad Nason.

Houston: Kendal Briles’ new deal at UH is 3 years, $2.1 million reports Joseph Duarte with the Houston Chronicle. Offensive line coach Randy Clements’ deal is 3 years, $1.2 million Duarte adds.

Tulane: Memphis tight ends coach Will Hall is expected to become Willie Fritz’ new OC reports Dan Wolken of USA Today. Hall previously served as offensive coordinator at Louisiana Lafayette and as head coach at West Georgia and West Alabama.

Florida State: Source tells FootballScoop Hugh Freeze spent considerable time speaking with FSU head coach Willie Taggart today. And then Liberty opened. Stay tuned…

UMass: Florida State offensive coordinator Walt Bell will be the new head coach at UMass FootballScoop can confirm. Have a look at the salary info in here…  Update: The school has announced the hire.

Liberty: Source tells FootballScoop Liberty is strongly considering Hugh Freeze as their next head football coach.

Louisville: Appalachian State head coach Scott Satterfield has agreed to become the next head coach at Louisville, per report.

Brown (FCS – RI): Bryant (FCS – RI) head coach James Perry has been announced as the new head coach at Brown, his alma mater. Perry went 12-10 in two seasons at Bryant.

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University (D-2) has Defensive Coordinator opening. This position will be involved in all aspects of coaching including recruiting, practice planning, game planning, organization, and scheduling and trip organization. The coaching responsibilities will be 75% of the position. Other job duties assigned may be in the areas of academic success, camp coordination, fundraising, game management, equipment locker room management, or other assignments that reflect the expertise of the candidate. Position may be assigned teaching duties as part of the position’s responsibilities based on area of study and previous experience. Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Five years of collegiate football coaching experience required. Collegiate recruiting and camp/clinic experience, and knowledge of NCAA compliance policies and procedures required. Texas Tech: Julius “Juice” Brown has joined the staff as defensive backs coach, as expected.

Kansas: Multiple reports state Chip Lindsey will be Les Miles’s offensive coordinator at Kansas. Details here.

Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II): Franklin (D-III – IN) offensive coordinator, and former FootballScoop Coordinator of the Year candidate, Craig Yeast has been announced as the new head coach at Kentucky Wesleyan.

University of Indianapolis (D-II – IN): Head coach Bob Bartolomeo has announced his retirement. Bartolomeo led the program for nine seasons and a 79-26 record, including six conference titles and five D-II playoff appearances. He originally joined the staff in 2004 as defensive coordinator.

Liberty: Head coach Turner Gill has announced his retirement. More on the news and where they might look to fill the role here.

Auburn: Offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey has stepped down in anticipation of landing another job, per Matt Zenitz of AL.com. Stay tuned to this one.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (NAIA – OK): Head coach Russell Gaskamp has announced his resignation & “is moving on to other opportunities,” per the school’s release.

BYU: Kilani Sitake told local media today that he expects to keep his staff intact.

Defiance (D-III – OH): Dodge City CC (JC – KS) linebackers coach Michael Starkey has joined the staff as defensive coordinator, per source. We understand Morris Lolar, who called the defense last season, has left to pursue other opportunities.

Texas A&M: Missouri tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley is joining the A&M staff in the same capacity, tweets Billy Liucci of TexAgs. Finley replaces Tim Brewster, who left for North Carolina.

Western Kentucky: Defensive tackles coach Kenny Martin and offensive line coach TJ Woods are being retained, and Richard Owens is joining the staff as tight ends coach, per The Daily News. Owens previously worked as the director of on-campus recruiting at Louisville.

Black Hills State (D-II – SD): Black Hills State University, located in Spearfish, SD is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach – Offensive Coordinator/QB coach. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach in directing all aspects of a highly competitive football program including compliance with NCAA DII, RMAC, and University rules and regulations; recruitment of qualified student-athletes; and retention of student-athletes. Bachelor’s degree required and college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred. Other responsibilities may include instruction within the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, in which a Master’s degree in physical education or related field preferred and/or administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Georgia Tech: Here’s an update on the search at Georgia Tech, where the scene shifts to New York.

Prague Lions (Europe): The Prague Lions are looking for a DC to come help them get back to the Czech Bowl and win it! The Lions were established in 1991 and are the first team to be established in the country. The Lions play in the top division in Czech Republic and have been amongst Europe’s best teams in recent years. The Lions are looking for one of two types of coaches: 1) a young guy full of energy that is in a GA position and looking for experience or 2) an older guy that is looking for a new experience outside the States and still has a lot to give a young, hungry team. Mansfield (Sprint – PA): Mansfield University of Pennsylvania seeks seasonal position coaches. Candidate must be familiar with the areas of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Positions will begin August 20 and run to November 6. Positions will pay $2500 and luxury housing in dorm with AC, own bathroom, cable, wifi, refrigerator, and microwave. Texas State: Zac Spavital will join Jake’s staff as defensive coordinator, tweets Keff Ciardello of the Austin American-Statesman. Zac was previously the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Texas Tech.

East Carolina: In one 4-minute span, ECU announced its new AD and head coach.

Prague Lions (Europe): The Prague Lions are looking for an offensive and a defensive assistant to come help them get back to the Czech Bowl and win it! Wake Forest: Dave Clawson has announced the hiring of Tyler Santucci to a TBD defensive role. Santucci was a Wake Forest GA in 2014-15 and spent the past two seasons working with Mike Elko at Notre Dame and Texas A&M.

Carolina Panthers: Defensive line coach Brady Hoke and corners coach Jeff Imamura have been let go, Tom Pelissero tweets. The team has now announced the moves, adding that head coach Ron Rivera will handle the defensive play calling duties moving forward, Eric Washington will oversee the defensive front seven, Sam Mills III will coach the defensive line, and Rivera will assistant Richard Rogers in the secondary.

Texas Southern (FCS): Texas Southern has made its hiring of Clarence McKinney official.

Louisville: Source tells FootballScoop Matt Canada has emerged as a candidate for the job. More on where things stand here… 

Bowling Green: Scot Loeffler has announced the hiring of Terry Malone (OC/OL), Chris Hedden (RBs), Erik Campbell (WRs), Max Warner (QBs), Louie Addazio (TEs) and Kevin Tolbert (strength). Additionally, Carl Pelini will remain on as defensive coordinator and Jacob Schoonover as linebackers coach. Malone was most recently the running backs coach at Western Michigan, Hedden the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Trine, Campbell the passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach at Delaware, Warner the head coach at Bloomingdale High School in Florida, and Addazio was a graduate assistant at Ohio State. Tolbert was most recently the director of football strength and conditioning at Michigan from 2015-17.

Cleveland Browns: Several reporters have already mentioned the Browns are interested in visiting with Mike McCarthy.

Louisville: An update at where things stand at Louisville, where we hear a decision is expected very soon…

UMass: Baltimore Ravens defensive line coach Joe Cullen recently interviewed for the head coaching job, per Ian Rapoport. Rap adds that Cullen, a former defensive lineman for the program, is considered a “top candidate.”

Black Hills State (D-II – SD): Black Hills State University (D-II – SD): Black Hills State University an NCAA Division II school and member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), has a Graduate Assistant coaching position beginning January 7, 2019. The position includes an $8000 stipend, camp bonus, reduced tuition and meal stipend.  Responsibilities include coaching running backs, running positional meetings, assisting with special teams, helping with weekly game plan, film breakdown and data entry (HUDL), recruiting, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director. The ideal candidate would have a minimum 1 year RB coaching experience or collegiate RB playing experience. Green Bay Packers: The Packers fired head coach Mike McCarthy following their loss last night.

Briar Cliff (NAIA – IA): Briar Cliff University is seeking a home and home series with an NAIA or D-III opponent for the 2020/21 seasons. Bowling Green: Bloomingdale HS (FL) head coach Max Warner has stepped down to become the quarterbacks coach at Bowling Green. Prior to Bloomingdale, Warner spent time in an offensive quality control role at Virginia Tech, where new BGSU head coach Scott Loeffler served as the offensive coordinator.

ECU: James Madison head coach Mike Houston is expected to become the new head coach at ECU.

Masters of Sports Administration: Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Eduction.

UW-River Falls (D-III): The University of Wisconsin River Falls is looking for a game in 2019. We are looking for a one year game in week 3 (Sept. 21st) or week 4 (Sept. 28th). We would be willing to travel or host. If interested email [email protected].

College Football Playoff: “It’s not a playoff. It’s an invitational,” UCF athletic director Danny White shares.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania (D-II): Indiana University of Pennsylvania is looking for a home game on September 7, 2019 against a Division II opponent.  If interested, please contact Head Coach Paul Tortorella at [email protected].

Akron: Yesterday, Akron announced that Terry Bowden would not return after seven seasons.
