Idaho State (FCS): Mike Kramer has let four assistants go. Offensive line coach Derrick Roche, defensive backs coach Dan Drayton, defensive line coach Todd Bates and linebackers coach Rudy Griffin have all been released.
Montana (FCS): Athletic director Kent Haslam confirmed that head coach Mick Delaney would return next year as head coach.
Virginia State (D-II): Sources tell us that head coach Andrew Faison has been reassigned to other duties within the university.
Carthage College (D-III - WI): Head coach Tim Rucks is stepping down; but has accepted a postion as associate athletic director. More to come...
Arkansas Tech (D-II): Arkansas Tech is now accepting applications for the head coaching position (and will do so through December 7th). This position is responsible for directing all aspects of the football program, including supervision of staff, recruitment and development of student athletes, budget development and management, as well as community relations both in and outside the university. This position is also responsible for overseeing all aspects with the guidelines set forth by Arkansas Tech University, the Great American Conference, and the NCAA. Participation in fund-raising, operation of summer camps, community and alumni relations/cultivation expected. The candidate must have a B.A. or B.S., and collegiate coaching experience. Candidate must have knowledge of the NCAA Division II rules and regulations and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as computer skills. Master's Degree preferred. Northwestern State (FCS - LA): Bradley Dale Peveto will not return as head coach at Northwestern State. In four seasons, Peveto was 14-30 as head coach of the Demons. There will be a lot of interest in this job.
Kentucky: As we mentioned last week, we continue to hear that the Kentucky search is focused on Butch Jones. Don't anticipate anything happening this week though as Cincinnati still has two games to play.
Livingstone College (D-II - NC): We hear offensive coordinator Darryl Williams has been promoted to interim head coach.
New Orleans VooDoo (AFL): Former Cleveland Gladiators defensive backs coach Nick Ward has been named defensive coordinator for the VooDoo.
Northern Arizona (FCS): Northern Arizona is looking to fill open dates for the 2013 season with FCS or FBS opponents. The dates that they have open at this point are September 7th and September 21st. If interested, or if you have questions, please email Matt Howdeshell at [email protected].
St. John's (D-III - MN): Legendary head coach John Gagliardi has announced that he is retiring.
UTEP: Mike Price plans to announce later today whether he intends to retire now or return for another season. Sources tell us Price intends to retire. Update> We have confirmed that Coach Price is stepping down.
College Football Playoff: ACC conference associate commissioner Michael Kelly has been named COO for the new Playoff system.
