    Oakland Raiders: The club will hold a 2 p.m. PT press conference to announce Tony Sparano as interim head coach, according to Jim Trotter of ESPN.com. Sparano is the former Miami Dolphins head coach and current Raiders assistant head coach/offensive line coach.

    McGill University (Canada): Clinton J. Uttley, head coach of the McGill University Redman, has resigned from his post.

    North Dakota State College of Science (JC): Head coach Merle Johnson has been suspended according to the CT Post due to violations stemming from playing ineligible players. Defensive coordinator Eric Francis has been named interim head coach.

    Oakland Raiders: Head coach Dennis Allen has been fired, over the phone. Here’s the story.

    UCF: Former defensive coordinator Paul Ferraro has filed a lawsuit accusing George O’Leary of racist remarks and demeaning behavior. UCF says they investigated Ferraro’s allegations and found them “to be untrue”.

    Tampa Bay Bucs: Jay Glazer is reporting that offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford will not return to coach in 2014. Quarterbacks coach Marcus Arroyo has been calling the plays in Tedford’s absence. Please continue to keep coach Tedford in your thoughts.

    Michigan: Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is not interested in the Michigan job should it become available according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. Harbaugh denied any interest Monday, saying, “I’m interested in Brady Hoke being the head coach at Michigan for a long time to come.”

    Texas Tech: Former defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt will receive half a year’s pay of his $425,000 by Nov. 1 and other compensation as part of his resignation, according to Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

    Oakland Raiders: This evening, Terry Collins of the Associated Press tweeted that Dennis Allen has been fired and an official announcement could come as soon as Tuesday. Within an hour, Collins deleted the tweet. About an hour later, Collins tweeted that he has no information on the Raiders situation and he said he is sorry. Very strange.

    Kansas: Charlie Weis has been relieved of duties as head coach. Read more here. Per his Kansas contract, he will get about $5.625 million in buyout money through December 31, 2016.

    Appalachian State: The school has announced that it has adjusted head coach Scott Satterfield’s contract to “fall in line with other head coaches in the Sun Belt Conference.” Satterfield signed a four-year contract paying $225,000 annually in December 2012. He is 5-11 in his second year at App State.

    Florida: Athletic director Jeremy Foley told “Open Mike” on 790 The Game in Orlando that he is sticking by Will Muschamp and will reevaluate everything after the season. “You never judge or evaluate a program based on one game or one season,” Foley explained. “It’s going to be played out over the course of 11 games and we’ll see where we are when we get to the end of the season.”
