Former Boise State athletic director and former Boise Junior College head coach Lyle Smith has died at age 101. Please join us in praying for his family.

ESPN: The Worldwide Leader has set its studio coverage for 2017 — ABC will have Kevin Negandhi (host) with Booger McFarland and Mack Brown (analysts), ESPN will have Adnan Virk as host with Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer as analysts and ESPN2 will feature host Chris Cotter and analysts Chip Kelly and Jonathan Vilma.

CBS: Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray told Dawgs247 he will call 10 games in the booth for CBS this fall (presumably for CBS Sports Network).

Wayne State College (D-II – NE): Wayne State College has filled their two recent openings. Thank you for the overwhelming response.

East Texas Baptist (D-III): East Texas Baptist is looking to hire a defensive assistant for the upcoming season. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Prior coaching experience or collegiate playing experience is required. Experience with linebackers and/or defensive backs is required. The Assistant Coach shall aid the Head Coach in the recruitment and retention of quality athletes. The Assistant Coach shall support the efforts of the Head Coach to maximize the effectiveness of practice sessions. Henderson State (D-II – AR): Henderson State has a job coaching the running backs open. Pay is $10,000 + meals & housing. Only candidates with previous coaching experience or candidates that have played RB will be considered. Ole Miss: Dave Corrao, who spent the 2016 as defensive coordinator at Northern Michigan and has also spent time with the Dolphins as assistant linebackers coach, is joining the staff in an analyst role, per Bruce Feldman. Corrao previously coached the linebackers for the Rebels on Ed Orgeron’s staff.

Trine (D-III – IN): Trine University has defensive intern position available. Responsibilities will include coordinating the JV Defense, coaching a position and have your own recruiting area along with any duties assigned by the head coach. The position will pay $8,000. Fort Valley State (D-II – GA): Dazzie Morris, a former offensive lineman at Bethune-Cookman (FCS – FL), has accepted the offensive line graduate assistant position, per source.

Alfred State (D-III – NY): Alfred State has openings on the offensive side of the ball. Both positions are restricted earnings. No housing or benefits. 1st position is Offensive Line. 2nd position is Quarterbacks or Receivers. Coaching experience and or playing experience required.
