Louisville: The football department has an opening for the best digital design person in the Nation. Great job opportunity. The creative director for football is responsible for determining the best ways to visually represent the football programs identity through media such as mail, digital media, video, posters, in-house branding, and other forms of media. Albany State (D-II – GA): Gabe Giardina, the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Charleston Southern (FCS) the past four seasons, has been named head coach.

Alfred (D-III – NY): Alfred University is currently accepting applications for a graduate assistant football coaching position on the offensive side of the ball. Master’s Degree programs are offered in Business Administration, College Student Development and School Counseling (this is a Master’s in Education). Southern Connecticut State (D-II): Former Xavier HS (CT) head coach Sean Marinan has been hired to coach the defensive line, per source.

Missouri State (FCS): Missouri Western State (D-II) defensive line coach Brenton Illum, a former assistant coach with the Missouri State program where he served as special teams / linebackers coach in 2004 before moving to the defensive line in 2005, has rejoined the program as the director of football operations. Illum recently served as the head coach at Evangel for six seasons, from 2010-15, where he compuled a 27-32 record and also served as director of athletics for over a year.

Herb Hand has a recruiting story that stretches well beyond football.

Valdosta State (D-II – GA): Valdosta State is looking for a graduate assistant to work on the defensive side of the ball. Applicants must be accepted into graduate school. College coaching/playing experience preferred. Applicants with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and DV Sports will be given preference. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in practice and game planning, video breakdown and analysis with DVSport and Hudl, recruiting, and academic oversight. Compensation package includes a monthly stipend, Housing, Full-Tuition waiver, and some weekly meals. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. Virginia-Lynchburg (NCCA): Jimmy Joe has hired the following coaches to his staff; Larry Williams (assistant HC / DC), former Adrian College (D-III – MI) assistant Jordan Odaffer will be a defensive assistant and DFO, and Glen Phillips will work with the program as an offensive assistant.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh (D-III): The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is looking for one game for the 2017 season.  We are open week 2 Sept. 9th and week 4 Sept. 23. Please contact Athletic Director Darryl Sims  [email protected] or call 920-216-8680.

MacMurray (D-III – IL): MacMurray College invites applications for an intern defensive backs coach. Responsibilities include: position leadership, recruiting an area and assignments such as operations, video, strength, facilities or equipment. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree, playing and/or coaching experience, and excellent communication skills. Compensation includes a monthly stipend for 10 months, on-campus housing and meals. This is considered an entry-level position. All offers of employment are contingent on successful completion of a background check and show, a clean driving record.
