Virginia: Patrick Higgins, the former offensive coordinator at UTEP from 2013-2015, has joined the staff in an analyst role. Higgins coached the outside receivers at BYU from 2005-2010 under Bronco Mendenhall.

Bunch Pop RPO: Like many offensive coaches studying the RPO system, offensive coordinator Eric Bendig decided to take one of his top formations, the Bunch formation, and blend it with his top run and pass concepts. The result was the Bunch Pop RPO, which helped his program gain 4,117 yards of offense, averaged 6.3 yards per play and 33 points per game last season. NFL Competition Committee: Denver Broncos GM and executive VP of football operations John Elway and Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians have been added to the NFL’s competition committee, per Adam Schefter.
