    David McWilliams, a former Texas Tech and Texas head coach in the late 1980’s and early ’90’s, has announced his retirement from a long-held position running the Longhorns’ lettermen’s association.

    Wisconsin-La Crosse (D-III): We’re told that Kevin Schultz (RBs / STC), Chad Crawford (DL), Sam Siefkes (LBs), and Matt Berhardt (TEs) have all left the staff.

    College Football Playoff: Archie Manning will not rejoin the selection committee, and former Vanderbilt head coach Bobby Johnson has been appointed to take his place.

    Savannah State (FCS – GA): Former Norfolk State assistant offensive line coach Donovan Jackson has been hired as offensive line coach. Jackson spent the last few years as the head coach at Northeast Guilford HS (NC).

    Ellsworth (CC – IA): Per source, Donny Diaz has been hired as defensive backs coach / recruiting coordinator. Diaz served as wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator at Itasca (CC – MN) last season.

    Penn: Former Kansas tight ends coach Jeff Blasko has joined the Penn staff in the same capacity, per source.

    St. Augustine (D-II – NC): Per Source, Fayetteville State (D-II – NC) defensive coordinator / defensive back coach Errick Hargrove has joined the staff as associate head coach / defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach and recruiting Coordinator. Hargrove served as the defensive coordinator at Virginia State from 2006-2013.

    Minnesota State-Mankato (D-II): Head coach Todd Hoffner has announced that Simpson College (D-III – IA) offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach / assistant head coach Joe Beschorner has been appointed interim offensive coordinator.

    Wayne State (D-II – MI): Ohio Northern (D-III) co-offensive coordinator / receivers coach EJ Henderson will join the Wayne State staff and coach the receivers, taking over for Alex Bailey, who recently accepted the wide receivers job at Ball State. Henderson previously coached the receivers at Wayne State from 2004-2006, and has previous stops at Urbana (D-II – OH), Davidson (FCS – NC), Mount Union (D-III – OH), and Lousville.

    Mesa Community College (JC – AZ): Shawn Gloden has been hired to coach the offensive line and will also serve as run game coordinator. Gloden was an assistant at Skyline HS (AZ) last season. Also, Mike Welch, who has coached the offensive line and served as assistant offensive coordinator since 2012, will move to quarterbacks coach and be co-offensive coordinator.

    Cincinnati: Tommy Tuberville has hired Doug Rosfeld as the program’s director of player development. Rosfeld has spent the past nine years teaching at Cincinnati Moeller HS (OH), and coached the Rugby team to four straight state title appearances and a state title in 2010.

    Florida Tech (D-II): Florida Tech is looking for a full time defensive line coach. Prefer candidates that have previous college defensive line coaching experience or defensive coordinator experience. Bachelor degree required.     SUNY Maritime (D-III): Assistant coach Pat Basil, who also served as the head strength and conditioning coach, has left for a position on the strength and conditioning staff at Bryant University (FCS – RI). SUNY Maritime now has an assistant coaching position attached to the head strength and conditioning post available. See more information on the position, and how to apply, here.

    Ursinus College (D-III – PA): Defensive coordinator Marc Lordi has been announced as the new head coach at Notre Dame HS (Lawrenceville, NJ). Lordi is a 2006 grad of NDHS.

    New Mexico Highlands (D-II): Joe Bever has been announced as the program’s new offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. Bever spent the last two seasons as the wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator at Indiana State (FCS).

    Davidson (FCS – NC): Per source, David Parrott has been promoted to defensive backs coach and running backs coach Diauntae Morrow has added the title of special teams coordinator.

    Central Methodist (NAIA – MO): Central Methodist is looking to hire an assistant football coach. This position will serve as the defensive coordinator.     Seattle Seahawks: The Seattle Seahawks have added three guys to their coaching staff in Dwaine Board (assistant DL), and Chris Cash and Andre Curtis  (assistant secondary). Board spent last season coaching at St. Francis HS (Mountain View, CA), Cash coached the safeties at Florida A&M the past two seasons, and Curtis was an assistant secondary coach for the Saints the past three seasons.

    Carl Pelini: Carl Pelini, who is now the defensive line coach at Youngstown State, has filed a lawsuit against his former assistant at FAU who was one of two people that reported that he had seen Pelini use illegal drugs.

    Methodist University (D-III – NC): Methodist University is looking for a full-time assistant football coach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. College coaching experience required. Demonstrated ability in recruitment of student-athletes (Division III experience preferred). Responsibilities include but are not limited to coaching a position (RB’s or DB’s), recruiting, academic monitoring, video, scouting, equipment control, assisting the Head Coach in all practice and game preparation and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics.     Alfred (D-III – NY): Alfred University is currently accepting applications for the position of graduate assistant football coach.     Northeastern State (D-II – OK): Head coach Rob Robinson has announced a few changes to his coaching staff. Quarterbacks coach Dane Simoneau has been promoted to offensive coordinator, taking over for offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Paul Lane who recently resigned, and Julian Mendez has been hired as offensive line coach. Mendez spent the past two seasons at Ellsworth CC (IA) coaching the offensive line.

    Delaware Valley (D-III – PA): Linebackers coach Ed Lynett has been promoted to defensive coordinator, per source.

    Missouri Southern: Per source, Hutchinson CC head coach Rion Rhodes, a finalist, has withdrawn from the search process at Missouri Southern.

    Point University (NAIA – GA): Per source, Georgia Southern defensive grad assistant Chris Couch will be the new special teams coordinator / linebackers coach at Point.

    Houston Texans: The Texans plan to promote quarterbacks coach George Godsey to offensive coordinator per John McClain.

    Iowa State: Missouri Western tight ends coach Ryan Olson has joined the staff as an offensive grad assistant working with the offensive line, per source.

    Illinois Wesleyan (D-III): Illinois Wesleyan University is seeking a graduate assistant to work with the football program on offense coaching wide receivers. Candidates must be interested in a degree in Kinesiology and Recreation, must have a 3.0 GPA as an undergrad. Send cover letter, resume and references to Travis Rundle at trundle@iwu.edu.

    College of Idaho (NAIA): Kyle Greenwood has been hired to coach the receivers at College of Idaho. Greenwod spent last season as a quality control coach / recruiting assistant at Sacramento State last season.

    Augsburg College (D-III – MN): Augsburg College is looking for a graduate assistant to coach either WRs or DBs. Coach will also recruit own area and have other administrative duties.     Maine: Head coach Jack Cosgrove has announced the additions of Corey Hetherman as defensive line coach, and the promotion of defensive assistant Greg Webster to a full-time position as the defensive backs / safeties coach. Hetherman was the defensive coordinator at linebackers coach at Pace University (D- II – NY) last season, and was at Old Dominion as the defensive run game coordinator / assistant linebackers coach / recruiting coordinator prior to that.

    Southwest Mississippi CC: Offensive coordinator Jamie Everett has resigned after two seasons with the program to spend more time with his family.

    Midwestern Prep (Postgrad – IL): Midwestern Preparatory Academy, located 45 minutes Southwest of downtown Chicago, is seeking applicants for additional assistant coaching positions. Preferred candidates will have playing and/or coaching experience at Offensive Line, Tight End and Outside Rush Linebackers. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Coaching your own position, residential monitoring of student-athletes, practice and game film breakdown (HUDL). Compensation package includes: $2,000 stipend, housing and meals. Additional income can be made for the successful recruitment of qualified and competitive student-athletes.     Valparaiso: Along with the addition of Kurt Mattix (see Saturday’s post), head coach Dave Cecchini has now announced the addition of Sami Caygoz to coach the tight ends. Caygoz coached the tight ends at King’s College (D-III – PA) last season.

    Castleton State (D-III – VT): Former New Hampshire offensive lineman Tucker Peterson has been added to the staff and will coach the offensive line. Offensive coordinator Kevin Trigonis, who coached the offensive line last season, will now oversee all offensive positions.

    Carnegie Mellon (D-III – PA): Carnegie Mellon, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is currently accepting applications for a wide receiver coach. For this position we prefer that the candidate have a bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of previous collegiate coaching experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, positional skill work, assisting in game planning, video breakdown and analysis with Hudl, as well as recruiting.     Hiram (D-III – OH): Hiram has an opening for a volunteer running back coach. This position will assist the head coach in all facets of the sports program including, but not limited to, coaching the running backs, the development and implementation of individual fundamental skills, recruiting and retaining quality young men and athletes. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong managerial, administrative, interpersonal skills; and computer proficiency. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Prior playing or coaching experience at the college/university or professional level is preferred. Flexibility is required for scheduled practices and competition during the season. This is a seasonal position with no benefits. First consideration will be given to northeast Ohio coaches.     Miami Dolphins: Dolphins owner Stephen Ross announced today that they have extended the contract of head coach Joe Philbin one year.

    Rutgers: We understand that Springfield College (D-III – MA) outside linebackers coach Jared Keyte has joined the staff in an off the field capacity.

    Concordia (D-III – Chicago, IL): We understand that Concordia is no longer accepting resumes for their defensive grad assistant position. Thanks for the overwhelming interest.

    Texas: Charlie Strong announced Monday that new tight ends coach Jeff Traylor will also handle the Longhorns’ special teams.

    Ball State: Per source, Pete Lembo has hired Wayne State (D-II – MI) receivers coach Alex Bailey to coach the Ball State wide receivers. Bailey has previous coaching stops with the receivers at Defiance College (D-III – OH), Valparaiso (FCS – IN), and Dayton (FCS – OH). We can confirm the hire.

    Rutgers: Per source, Albright College (D-III – PA) running backs coach / assistant special teams coordinator Matt Moran has been hired at Rutgers in a player development / defensive quality control role.

    NFL: Per Adam Schefter, Roger Goodell has informed NFL owners that Todd Jones, the former Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, and Firearms will soon join the league as Special Counsel for Conduct.

    Morrisville State (D-III – NY): Morrisville State College located in Morrisville, NY (30 miles southeast of Syracuse) is seeking applicants for a restricted earnings assistant coaching position. Preferred candidates will have playing and/or coaching experience at Wide Receiver, as well as on special teams. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Coaching your own position, academic monitoring of student-athletes, practice and game film breakdown (HUDL), as well as the successful recruitment of qualified and competitive student-athletes in your assigned recruiting area. Compensation package includes: $5,000 stipend, housing, some meals, plus other possible opportunities to supplement income within the athletic and/or academic support departments. In addition, because of employment within SUNY, this position is entitled to receive a tuition waiver for one graduate class per semester at any other SUNY institution (preferably online classes).     South Dakota (FCS): In addition to the hiring of Marty Biagi we reported on Saturday, here are a few other adjustments to the staff at South Dakota; defensive line coach Marquice Williams has added the special teams coordinator title, receivers coach Matt Middleton has added recruiting coordinator responsibilities, Morningside College (NAIA – IA) running backs coach Collin Prosser has been hired hired to coach the tackles and tight ends. Also, DFO Luke Groth ahs added the title of On Campus recruiting coordinator.

    Austin College (D-III – TX); Joe Morgan has been hired to coach the offensive line. Morgan spent last season as the offensive line coach at Cornell College.

    Southern Arkansas (D-II): Per source, Dylan Swarers has accepted a defensive grad assistant position. Swarers was a defensive grad assistant at Minot State (D-II – ND) last season.

    Fresno State: Ricky Manning Jr., who coached the special teams and secondary at Fresno City College (CC – CA), is heading to Fresno State as the defensive grad assistant, per source.

    Pace University (D-II – NY): Steve Ciocci has joined the staff as offensive line coach. Ciocci previously coached the tackles and tight ends at Wagner (FCS – NY).

    Fresno City College (CC – CA): Quarterbacks coach Mark Hetherington has been hired as the head coach at Fresno Central HS (CA).
