    Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles have hired former Chicago Bears scout Marty Bennett to cover the West Coast according to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com.

    NFL: Former Detroit Lions head coach and Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will serve as a consultant for the NFL’s officiating department this fall according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports.

    Fox Sports: Matt Millen is leaving ESPN for Fox to serve as the company’s lead Big Ten Network analyst as well as provide color for Fox and appear on studio shows with Fox Sports 1 according to John Ourand of Sports Business Journal.

    Valdosta State (D-II – GA): Defensive coordinator Bubba Walker is leaving to join Rush Propst’s staff as outside linebackers coach/special teams coordinator at Colquitt County (GA) High School according to the Moultrie (Ga.) Observer.

    Georgia: AD Greg McGarity has inked a contract extension through June of 2019 worth $575,000 a year according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

    Troy: Per source, South Carolina offensive grad assistant Justin Keown has accepted a similar position at Troy.

    Louisburg College (JC – NC): Louisburg is looking to fill the position of Defensive Line/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Compensation for this position is room, board, full benefits and a 5K stipend. Applicants who have experience leading strength programs and/or hold strength and conditioning certifications are highly encouraged to apply.  The contract for this position is August through the end of April.  Please send resumes to Head Coach Trevor Highfield, thighfield@louisburg.edu.  No phone calls please.

    Presentation College (NAIA – SD): Presentation College is looking for an opponent for the 2015 and 2016 season. Possible dates for 2015 would be Sept 12 or Oct 10 (corresponding dates in 2016), with the option to adjust one other scheduled game to accommodate.     Hobart (D-III – NY): Hobart College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Defensive Coordinator. Preference will be given to applicants with a defensive back background.     Lenoir-Rhyne (D-II – NC): Lenoir-Rhyne is looking for an assistant coach to work with the wide receivers. This is a full-time position opening with competitive salary/benefits. Bachelor’s degree required. The following are preferred qualifications; experience coaching the wide receiver position at the intercollegiate level, option background preferred, established recruiting networks in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.     Michigan: Salary numbers for Jim Harbaugh’s off-the-field assistants have been published by the Detroit Free Press. Associate AD for football Jim Minick will earn $250,000 a year, strength coach Kevin Tolbert will earn $250,000 (previously announced), followed by director of operations Rick Finotti at $120,000, recruiting coordinator Matthew Doherty at $107,000, director of player development Gwendolyn Bush at $106,000, assistant strength coach Nathan Berry at $80,000, recruiting operations assistant Chris Partridge at $80,000, offensive analyst T.J. Weist at $70,000, defensive analyst Matthew Barnes at $50,000, operations assistant Erik Campbell at $45,000, and recruiting assistant Anthony Binker at $41,000.

    Bemidji State (D-II – MN): Graduate assistant Craig Bagnell has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

    Haskell Indian Nations University (NAIA – KS): We understand that Haskell has made the decision to suspend their football program for the 2015 season.

    Trine (D-III – IN): Trine has added Chris Hedden to coach the quarterbacks, and Neal Simmons to coach the running backs. Hedden most recently served as the head coach at Saint Francis deSales HS (Toledo, OH) and Simmons was the offensive coordinator at Wayne HS (Fort Wayne, IN).

Compensation includes stipend, room and board, and tuition waiver into Bethany’s MAT program. The selected candidate must be enrolled in Bethany’s MAT program as a condition of employment.
