Kent State: Last night we reported Minnesota’s Ed Warinner was no longer a candidate (per source). Thereafter, Warinner tweeted that he personally was never contacted by anyone from the University. As we said, this search hasn’t gone smoothly. As we reported yesterday, Syracuse co-offensive coordinator Sean Lewis is considered a finalist for the position and we understand at least one more coach is considered a finalist as well. We were told this AM this one likely won’t be over until the weekend. Head here and you’ll likely see why

Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): Per source, defensive coordinator Eric Daniels and quarterbacks / running backs coach Travis Champion have left the staff for other opportunities. We understand OPSU will look to fill the positions after Christmas break.

Louisiana-Lafayette: Last night, a report surfaced that Arizona State offensive coordinator / associate head coach Billy Napier has been offered the head coaching job at ULL. Scroll down to yesterday for more details.

Florida State: Telly Lockette has now been formally introduced as tight ends coach.
