Westminster (D-III – MO): Westminster College is accepting applicants for a WR intern position. This will be a 10 month appointment starting July 1. Compensation is $300 per month and free housing. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: player retention, coaching the WR position group, game planning, practice planning, managing a recruiting area, video breakdown, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. WPI (D-III – MA): WPI is looking to hire an intern for the 2018-2019 year.  The position runs from August 1 – April 30 (9 month position); the stipend is 1000$ per month plus free housing for that time period. Candidates will have a four year degree with college football experience (as player or coach) and preferably with ties to the northeast region. There is some flexibility with the position that will be coached and the recruiting area as well. New York Jets: Pro scout Tom Gibbons has been dismissed and Kevin Murphy is joining the staff after spending last season with the Bills before being let go after the draft, per Neil Stratton.

Assumption (D-II – MA): Assumption College, located in Worcester, MA, has an offensive intern position open. This position is flexible for the right candidate. Duties include, but are not limited to, offensive position coach, assist on special teams, and assigned recruiting territory. There is a modest stipend but there is no housing or meals available. Chicago Bears: Ryan Kessenich, who has been with the team since 2013, is being let go from his national scout position, per Neil Stratton.

Georgia State: Per source, offensive line coach Cedric Williams will work with the New York Giants as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship program.

Georgia Southern: The position for the offensive graduate assistant has been filled. Thank you for the overwhelming interest.

Louisville: Defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder, linebackers coach Ryan Beard and defensive assistant Grady Brown all continue to work on memorandums of understanding and still do not have completed contracts over three months since the announcement of their hires, according to the Courier Journal.

Monterey Peninsula (JC – CA): Monterey Peninsula College has a defensive coaching position open. Position area is flexible and defensive play caller responsibilities are possible for the right candidate. Duties include position coaching, recruiting, strength/conditioning, and video production. McDaniel (D-III – MD): McDaniel College, located in Westminster, MD, is looking for a Graduate Assistant to work with the Linebackers. Applicant will be required to coach their own position group, have their own recruiting area and perform all other duties assigned by the head coach. NFL OC: “Bad football loses before good football wins.”

Van Malone: The former SMU defensive coordinator and longtime defensive backs coach will do a coaching fellowship with the San Francisco 49ers next month and spend this season coaching his son at St. Michael’s Academy in Austin (TX), sources tell FootballScoop.

Louisville: The school and former director of athletics Tom Jurich have released a joint statement stating that they’ve reached a successful resolution “in the dispute arising from Mr. Jurich’s retirement” back in October. Jurich will receive a $4.5 million settlement from the school as part of that settlement, per Jake Lourim.

Adrian (D-III – MI): Adrian College has an opening for an Entry Level Coach working with a skill position on either side of the ball. The position is an 11 month contract which goes from July 1st, 2018 to June 30th, 2019 and includes a $7,500 stipend, partial benefits, housing, and a meal plan. Wayne State College (D-II – NE): Wayne State College (NCAA Division II Northern Sun Conference) located in Wayne, Nebraska has an immediate opening for one Defensive Graduate Assistant coach. The Graduate Assistant’s primary coaching responsibilities will be working with the Defensive Backs and Special Teams. Previous experience is required. The position requires a highly motivated person to assist with the implementation of practices, evaluation of prospective student athletes, off and on campus recruiting, scouting opponents, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicants must qualify for the State of Nebraska defensive driving certificate. Graduate Assistantships are granted based on acceptance into Graduate School at Wayne State College. This is a 10 month reporting position with a $650.00 stipend per month ($6500.00 total) and tuition waiver for the academic year. Grinnell (D-III – IA): Grinnell College is seeking applications for a part-time term assistant football coach. This is a 10 month position that will pay $15K with no benefits.  The assistant will be responsible for coaching a position group (preferably offense), breaking down film, and assisting in creating a weekly scouting report.  The coach will also be responsible for recruiting calls and occasional recruiting travel.   Please apply through the Grinnell HR website via this link. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Coffeyville CC (JC – KS): Coffeyville has an opening for a defensive coach. Priority will be given to those who have a background playing or coaching LB’s. This is an entry level position that will come with a package of housing (dorm), stipend earned as a resident assistant, meals, and insurance. Coaching their own position, recruiting their own area, and running position meetings are some of the responsibilities that will come with this position.
