Tulane: Willie Fritz has received a contract extension through 2023.

St. Xavier (NAIA – IL): Michael Ivlow has joined the staff as a graduate assistant running backs coach, per source.

Philadelphia Eagles: Andy Weidl has been promoted from assistant director of player personnel to director of player personnel, Patrick Stewart is joining the organization as a national scout after spending 11 seasons with the Patriots, and former Bills college scout Shawn Heinlen has been added as their southwest area scout.

Carolina Panthers: The NFL has formally approved David Tepper’s purchase of the Panthers. Tepper paid a record $2.275 billion for the club — in cash.

Western Kentucky: Janel Lee, the assistant video coordinator at Idaho, has accepted the head video coordinator job at WKU, per source.

McDaniel (D-III – MD): McDaniel College, located in Westminster, MD, is looking for a Graduate Assistant to work with the Linebackers. Applicant will be required to coach their own position group, have their own recruiting area and perform all other duties assigned by the head coach. College coaching and/or playing experience preferred. Compensation package includes a stipend, full tuition waiver, housing and a meal plan. Truman State (D-II – MO): Truman State is seeking applicants for an offensive restricted earning skills position. This position will help with all offensive administrative work, assisting in preparation of game planning material and opponent film breakdown. This position will coach a skills position group (RB/ WR) which will be determined by the offensive coordinator, and head coach based on applicant. The position will include a monthly stipend of $1,000 and will be a 10 month contract. There are no other benefits associated with this position (housing, classes, or meals). Alabama: The Tide has formally announced Bob Welton as director of player personnel. Welton served in the same role for the past five seasons at Tennessee and comes to Tuscaloosa from Nebraska, where he was briefly Scott Frost’s director of recruiting operations. “Bob has a lot of experience in this role and a reputation for being very organized and an excellent talent evaluator. He has worked at all levels of football, serving as an NFL scout, a player personnel director at the college level and a head coach in high school. Bob is a great fit for this role, and we are happy to welcome his wife Laura and their children to the Crimson Tide program,” Nick Saban said in a statement.

College of the Siskiyous (JC – CA): College of the Siskiyous has a Defensive assistant coaching position open.  Responsibilities include coaching a position group, film breakdown, practice preparation, assist with recruiting, assist with study hall, and any assignments delegated by the head coach or coordinator. We are looking for dedicated and detail oriented people who want to advance their career in the coaching profession. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Hudl, PowerPoint and other computer skills is a plus.  The position will be from August 1st – May 15th.  Salary is $17,500.  No housing or benefits.  Contact head coach Charlie Roche at [email protected]. No phone calls.

West Alabama (D-II): The University of West Alabama is seeking applicants for a possible Defensive Graduate Assistant position. Preferred candidates will need to have playing and or coaching experience.
