Georgia: Tight ends coach John Lilly will call plays for Georgia in the Belk Bowl vs. Louisville on Dec. 30.
Colorado State: Will Friend has officially been announced as the Rams’ offensive coordinator.
Pitt: Joe Schad is reporting that Pat Narduzzi and Pitt have finalized their contract.
South Carolina: Earlier this week, former standout running back Marcus Lattimore talked about plans to re-enroll in classes and join the university in an ambassador-type role. Steve Spurrier noted recently that Lattimore will likely join the staff as a student assistant in the spring.
Ottawa Redblacks (CFL): Bryan Chiu has been hired as the new offensive line coach of the Redblacks. Chiu spent last season as the offensive line coach of the Toronto Argonauts.

Oregon State: Multiple reports have surfaced tonight that Utah defensive coordinator / assistant head coach Kalani Sitake is joining Gary Andersen’s staff as defensive coordinator. Kevin Graham, a former reporter in Salt Lake, was the first to report the move and also notes that defensive line coach Ilaisa Tuiaki is close to a deal to join the staff as well. Will update. Update> Per sources, the following are confirmed hires… Sitake (DC), Tuiaki, Derrick Odum (DBs), TJ Woods (OL) and Chad Kauha’aha’a. We should also add that former Wisconsin head strength coach Evan Simon will be the head strength coach here as well.
Virginia Tech: The Hokies have announced that Frank Beamer will coach the Military Bowl from the press box as he recovers from minor throat surgery.
Oberlin (D-III – OH): We hear that the offensive coordinator is open.
VMI: Per source, Tom Clark has resigned from his post at William and Mary as the defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator to become the defensive coordinator at VMI.
Colorado State: Mike Boboo’s base salary will be $1.35 million. Also, Bobo stated at his press conference today that he will not coach UGA in the Belk Bowl.
Florida State: Jimbo Fisher and Florida State have agreed to a new eight-year deal that will run through the 2022 season.
Florida: Per Thayer Evans, former Alabama and Michigan offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier is expected to join Jim McElwain’s staff in the same role.
Coffeyville CC (KS): Coffeyville CC is looking to hire a video coordinator. Experience with HUDL is a must. Experience coaching a defensive position is a plus. Northwestern: Former Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees has joined the staff as an offensive grad assistant, per source.
Colorado State: Sources tell us to expect Georgia offensive line coach Will Friend to join Mike Bobo’s staff in a senior capacity.
Memphis: With Barry Odom heading to Missouri, sources tell us Justin Fuente already has his plan in plan to fill. We hear it won’t happen until after the holidays; but look for a promotion to the fill the role. Will update when appropriate.
Jim Harbaugh: We spoke with a number of NFL and college sources today. Here’s an update on Harbaugh’s future.
Michigan State: With Narduzzi going to Pitt, this presents an interesting dynamic on the Michigan State staff. Sources have told us for quite a while that Narduzzi would love to bring Mike Tressel and / or Harlon Barnett with him…but there is no doubt Mark Dantonio would like to keep both likely with the defensive coordinator title involved. Interesting Christmas Eve talk in East Lansing coming up. Good friends that they are, we expect they will work this out best for all. Will update once more is clear.
Pitt: SI is reporting that although the deal isn’t done; “barring any eleventh-hour breakdown” Pat Narduzzi will become the new head coach at Pitt after Christmas. Sources have told us all along that Narduzzi conveyed to Pitt this weekend that he would accept if offered. SI’s report sounds like Pitt has decided Pat is the best man for the job. Sources tell us, same as SI has reported, that specific terms have not been agreed to and nothing has been presented that could be signed; but yes, we hear the same that it is headed there. Here’s the story. Update> Sources close to the situation tell us that both sides fully expect the deal to be finalized soon enough. Pat Narduzzi will be introduced as head football coach at Pitt after Christmas.

Marshall: Doc Holliday is working on a new long-term contract to keep him at Marshall, reports Thayer Evans. Chuck McGill, who covers Marshall, adds that the agreement is in principle and will be signed after the first of the year. Holliday was a candidate for the head coaching job at Pitt.
Butler CC (KS): Head coach Troy Morrell, who has led Butler to three national titles and 12 conference titles in 15 years, has announced he will resign effective January 5th, 2015 in order to spend more time with his family and pursue a career in private business. Associate head coach Steve Braet, who has been a part of six national titles at Butler, will take over as interim head coach until a successor is named.
Kansas: Gene Wier, legendary head coach at Olathe North HS (KS), is set to join David Beaty’s staff as director of high school relations according to multiple reports. Wier has led the program to six Kansas state titles in a seven year span from 1996-2002.
Missouri: Gabe DeArmond of Missouri’s Rivals site is reporting that Memphis defensive coordinator Barry Odom will be the next defensive coordinator on Gary Pinkel’s staff. Update > The school has now formally announced the hire.
Florida A&M: Sources tell us that Alex Wood will be named head coach later today. Wood is the former offensive coordinator at Buffalo.
Miami Dolphins: Owner Stephen Ross told the Miami Herald that GM Dennis Hickey will return next season.
El Camino College Compton Center (CC – CA): Head coach Broderick Jackson has announced the following changes to his coaching staff; Art Hoomiratana (offensive coordinator), Sebastian Salceda (QBs), Spencer Phillips (WRs), Dwon Drummer (RBs), Jeremy Bridges (OL), and Ken Shaw (TEs).

Colorado State: SI is reporting that Mike Bobo’s agreement is five years at an average salary of $1.5 million with a significant buyout that is frontend-loaded.
Florida A&M (FCS): Per source, Joker Phillips has withdrawn from the process at FAMU. We understand that former Buffalo offensive coordinator Alex Wood has emerged as a strong candidate.
Pitt: Pat Narduzzi is the leading candidate for the head coaching job according to Pat Forde. As we said last night and continue to hear, sources tell us Narduzzi is a very viable candidate but Pitt is also speaking with others. Narduzzi interviewed over the weekend and would be an excellent hire in our opinion.
Garden City CC (KS): Sources tell us that Cabrillo HS (Long Beach, CA) head coach Jason Brown will be the new offensive coordinator at quarterbacks coach at Garden City CC.
Adams State (D-II – CO): Former UNLV offensive coordinator Timm Rosenbach has been named head coach.
San Jose State: The program has announced that special teams coordinator Fred Guidici will not return.
Colorado State: The Denver Post reports that Mike Bobo and Colorado State are closing in on a deal. We’ll keep you posted. We addressed this possibility last night on FootballScoop radio. We reported last night that Scott Frost had said no thank you to the opportunity and it was looking like Bobo would be the guy the Denver post is now reporting the same. Here is the story. Update> Sources tell us the deal is done. Mike Bobo is the new head coach at Colorado State.

Toledo: USA Today reports that Matt Campbell will earn $495,000 next season under his new agreement.
Lindenwood (D-II – MO): Lindenwood is looking for 2 graduate assistant coaches. Having an undergraduate of a 3.0 GPA, or higher, is required and previous collegiate experience coaching or playing is required. The job includes coaching a position, recruiting, use of digital editing system, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and coordinator. The position will begin immediately. Nebraska Kearney (D-II): Head coach Josh Lamberson has announced that Ken Gordon has been hired as defensive coordinator / secondary coach. Gordon previously served as defensive coordinator at Emporia State, Minnesota State-Mankato, and Peirce JC (CA). Gordon was the defensive backs / special teams coordinator at Northwest Missouri State this past season. Matt Miller is the only holdover being retained at UNK.

Tulsa: Bowling Green co-offensive coordinators Sterlin Gilbert and Matt Mattox will join Philip Montgomery’s staff reports SI. Gilbert was the 2013 FootballScoop FCS Coordinator of the Year when they were with Dino Babers at Eastern Illinois. We have confirmed the hires as well.
Virginia Tech: Bud Foster hints to the Roanoke Times that an extension is coming soon with the Hokies. We see that the Richmond Times Dispatch has reported the same as well. Update > Foster’s new deal will pay him $900,000 annually over five years per Andy Bitter.

Bethune Cookman (FCS): Per source, Terry Sims will be announced as the new head coach this afternoon. Sims served as the assistant head coach / special teams coordinator / defensive backs coach the past five seasons for the program. Sources tell us a significant portion of the coaching staff will remain at Bethune with coach Sims.
Toledo: Head coach Matt Campbell has signed an extension through 2020, per the Toledo Blade & ESPN. An official announcement is expected later today. Campbell’s current deal runs through 2017 and pays a base salary of $285,000. Update > The school has now announced the extension.
LSU: Defensive coordinator John Chavis has agreed to a new three year deal worth $4 million to remain at LSU, according to Derek Ponamsky of ESPN Baton Rouge.

University of Waterloo (Canada): The school has announced Chris Bertoia as head coach and manager of football operations. Bertoia spent the last five seasons coaching the offensive line and serving as the recruitment coordinator at Western University (Canada).
Miami Dolphins: Owner Steve Ross told reporters today that Joe Philbin will be back in 2015. Philbin is 7-9, and 8-8 in his two full seasons, and sits at 8-7 this year with one game remaining.
Georgia: Sources tell us that Alabama assistant strength coach Mark Hocke will be the new head strength coach at UGA. Update > Mark Richt has formally announced the addition of Hocke as the director of strength and conditioning.
Scottsdale CC (AZ): Per source, special teams coordinator Christian Vitale has resigned.
San Francisco 49ers: Jay Glazer reports that Jim Harbaugh’s time with the 49ers will come to an end within a day or two of the team’s final game (next Sunday).
Atlanta Falcons: Owner Arthur Blank has “informed multiple parties that he plans on moving on from head coach Mike Smith at the end of the season” according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Tennessee State: The Tennessean reports that head coach Rod Reed has agreed to an extension at Tennessee State.
Montana: Bob Stitt’s deal is worth $175,000 annually over three years, per The Missoulian.
Sacramento City College (CC): Per source, defensive backs coach Jordan McGowan has accepted the head coaching position at San Juan High School.
Lawrence University (D-III – WI): Sources tell us that Lawrence is down to their final two candidates for the head coaching position, St. Patricks HS (IL) head coach Dan Galante and Knox College (D-III – IL) athletic director, and former Knox head coach, Chad Eisele.

Congratulations to national champions Colorado State-Pueblo (Division II), Wisconsin-Whitewater (Division III) and Southern Oregon (NAIA), as well as FCS finalists North Dakota State and Illinois State.
Colorado State: After the game today, interim head coach Dave Baldwin stated “the entire staff has received termination papers”. The school later clarified that this does not mean that they cannot be retained by the next head coach and is a standard step for human resources. This staff & team won ten games. This was the first time in over a decade that has happened and one of only a handful of times this has happened in 100+ years of CSU football. Tough business.
Dordt College (NAIA -IA): Dordt College has an immediate opening for a graduate assistant on defense. Dixie State (D-II – UT): Longtime high school coach Blaine Monkres has been hired as Dixie State’s director of offense.
Millsaps College (D-III – MS): Millsaps College is seeking a restricted earnings offensive assistant football coach. The applicant must be motivated hard working and willing to learn. The position will include coaching wide receivers and will require some video responsibility as well as other jobs assigned by the head coach or offensive coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for a recruiting area. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, a bachelor’s degree and pass a background check. This position is a 10 month contract with no benefits paying $7,500 and housing is included. The job will start on Monday February 2nd, 2015. All interviews will take place at this year’s AFCA Convention; candidates must be able to interview during the AFCA convention January 10th-January 12th in Louisville, KY.
