    Massachusetts: The school has announced that Ted Daisher will not return as special teams coordinator, and head coach Mark Whipple will take over special teams duties for the remainder of the season.

    SUNY Cortland (D-III – NY): State University of New York at Cortland, an NCAA Div 3 football playing institution, Empire 8 Conference member, is looking to fill two games for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.     Oakland Raiders: With the Raiders off to an 0-2 start after posting back-to-back 4-12 seasons, owner Mark Davis has “privately expressed displeasure with the Raiders’ early returns,” according to CSN Bay Area. Citing sources, the site says Davis has a succession plan in place, and that offensive line coach Tony Sparano could take over for head coach Dennis Allen if the team does not improve.

    Nicholls State (FCS – LA): Former Idaho Vandals offensive coordinator Steve Axman is joining the staff and will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season, per source. Read more on the situation here.

    SMU: Former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator, and Texas A&M quarterbacks coach, Tom Rossley will begin consulting with the SMU offensive staff, per source. Rossley was SMU’s head coach from ’91-’96.

    CoachComm: CoachComm is seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to cover the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Candidate will be responsible for selling of the CoachComm Headset product line as well as practice management and sound systems. Customer base includes D2, D3 NAIA, JUCO and High Schools. Ideal candidate will have coaching and sales experience as well as recruiting background in these markets.     SMU: In the wake of June Jones’ resignation, interim head coach Tom Mason has announced the addition of veteran assistant Tim Davis to assist with the offensive line.

    Seattle Seahawks: Assistant offensive line coach Pat Ruel was hospitalized yesterday after their game in San Diego due to an irregular heartbeat. Please keep coach Ruel in your prayers. Update: Ruel is out of the hospital and on his way back to Seattle.

    Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings have reinstated special teams coordinator Mike Priefer. Priefer was originally suspended three games by the team for questionable comments, but has met the requirements for an early return.

    Presentation College (NAIA – SD): Presentation College (Aberdeen, S.D.), an NAIA school in the North Star Athletic Association, has the following open dates for the 2015 season.     Rutgers: The school has announced a two-year extension through the 2018 season and a  salary increase for head coach Kyle Flood. “With the generosity of private funding, we are pleased to invest in our head coach and our entire staff at a level more consistent with our Big Ten peers,” AD Julie Hermann said in a statement.
